prologue.

"You guys are so in love, but who's gonna tell you both?" Seungkwan remarked, trying to tease both Mingyu and Soonyoung, but specifically Mingyu. Mingyu eyed him, he didn't open his mouth to say anything but Seungkwan got the message already. He looked at him as if he was saying, "Do you want to die?" Which Seungkwan replied with him sticking his tongue out.

Mingyu steals some glances on Soonyoung's direction, he could see Wonwoo's arm clinging onto Soonyoung's shoulder while laughing his heart out, on the other hand, Soonyoung remains silent.

He himself is not sure about his feelings for Soonyoung, he didn't think about it deeply, though he won't deny that he had questioned himself about this on the past, but that was way too long ago. He is currently making himself believe that there's nothing special about Soonyoung—in a romantic way. However, at this very moment, he wonders why he feels a sting in his chest seeing Wonwoo clinging onto Soonyoung and Soonyoung who seems uncomfortable with what Seungkwan have said? Does Soonyoung hate this conversation that much? But, why does Mingyu care about it?

Soonyoung tried his best to remain calm. He was sitting across Mingyu who is sitting beside Seungkwan. He is well aware of their friends' laughter due to Seungkwan's statement, yet he tried his best not to react anything, as talks like this seem to be normal for them already.

Soonyoung just couldn't get it, why do their friends think that he and Mingyu are more than friends?

Surely though.. He hates it when Mingyu gets linked with some girl in their uni, or when Mingyu receives love letters from boys or girls around their campus or even around their neighborhood. However, for Hoshi, isn't it normal? Why is it so wrong to feel wronged about that? Isn't it a normal feeling for the other half of best friends to feel whenever somebody attempts to get your best friend's attention away from you? They are all best friends but he considers Mingyu as his bestest, if it doesn't make sense, then make it make sense, Soonyoung makes himself believe it.

He may not feel it around everyone but Mingyu, but that is just because he considers Mingyu as his bestest and closest friend among them, right. .? or not?
