I look over to find Delilah looking at me. She meets my eyes blushes and looks away. Is she falling for me? She keeps sending out signs, and her body language shows that she wants me to kiss her. But I can't! The way she said my name.... it made me want to. I look away and back to the road. I'm so exhausted. When we get to my house, I have to unpack for her since she's injured, then I have to talk to mom since she needs to talk to me. We pull into the driveway and I park the car. I get out and grabbed her wheelchair. I wheeled it to the passenger side door and helped her in.
"Why are you so quiet?" I ask.
"I dunno. I'm only tired..." She replies. Aren't we all, I think to myself. I bring her into the house and my mom walks from the living room. The first thing I see on her face is pity then it quickly disappears to a welcoming smile.
"Hello, Delilah! Welcome to your new home!" Mom says.
"Hi, Mrs. Young." Lilah weakly replies.
"Oh no don't call me that call me Shannon. You must be tired; well, I already unpacked your stuff in Jace's room." Wait what?!?! That can't be possible! We should-
"It's fine I can sleep on the couch." Lilah replies sheepishly.
"That's nonsense, you and Jace can share a room." Mom replies excitedly.
"Okay..." Delilah says giving in. I start toward my room praying mom didn't go full out girly in there. I mean I'm okay with it, its not like my room is a messy room like a normal teenage boy's room. I walk in my room with Delilah and all I see that's mine are my clothes, my bed and my nightstand. Everything else is girly stuff. I glance at Delilah and it looks like she doesn't like it either. That makes me wonder, what did her other room at her first house looked like?
