The idea that the young
Can not understand
Or comprehend
Is useless
And will not help our society grow
You depend
On the next generation
But when you treat us
With pessimism and disappointment
You raise a damaged youth
As you depend on us
We depend on you
For love, health, confidence
But you feed us lies
And somewhere along this ride
I learned they were just that

Men can cry
Religion isn't an excuse
Rape is never the victims fault
Race isn't a reason to be rude
I know that now
And you don't believe I know
But I will no longer eat your ignorance
