What if Nightmare was just a little kid when he ate the dark apples? What if Dream was a teenager while Nightmare was a kid? What if Dream wasn't locked inside a statue for 1,000 years, but 4 or 5 years? Or maybe he wasn't locked in a statue at all? IDK. What do you think would happen with a kid Nightmare bossing around the gang? Would a kid Nightmare still be more responsible than a bunch of adult skeletons that act more like children? Dream would most likely chase after Nightmare and get him separated from the gang but... Nightmare did seem happier than with the villagers. Watch as chaos ensues with a kid Nightmare on the loose.
