(Being Edited) What happens when Alexis Rayann Casey gets out of the Army and joins the police academy and gets pulled by Hank Voight to join intelligence, and is partnered with her ex-boyfriend and they still have feelings for each other.
I had been back in Chicago a month and just got expected to the Chicago Police Academy. I wanted to for a long time I was in the Army for almost 7 years. I mean I met someone who made me happy really happy. Me and Matt were sitting in the living room eating "So any plans?" My brother asked "Hm yeah," I said eating my food "And what is that plan?" He asked "Hm I joined the police academy," I said "Alex why?" He asked "Matt really it's my life I just got of the Army," I said "Yeah, and do you really what to do this Alex?" He asked "Yes Matt," I said "And Blake what does he think?" Matt asked "Me and Blake Gallo are just friends," I said I had been in the academy for 6 months when an older guy came in he and the instructor came over to me "Casey," The instructor said "Yes sir?" I asked "Your getting pulled," He said "Why?" I asked "You're going to intelligence," The guy said "Hm okay," I said I walked out to his car "So you related to Matt Casey?" He asked "Yeah, he my older brother," I said "Oh I hope he doesn't mind you working under me," He said "Why would he?" I asked "Oh something in the past," He said "So what's your name?" I asked "Sargent Hank Voight," He said Once we got to the 21st we walked in he put a code in and his handprint and the gate unlocked we walked up the stairs and into the bullpen "Jay," He said I know the name Jay but couldn't have been the same one the guy turned around and walked over to us "Jay this Alexis Casey your new partner," Voight said
"Okay," Jay said Lets just me and might have had a thing at one point and the feelings were still there he showed me to my desk and I sat down "Hm so Jay," I said "Yeah," He said "We should talk," I said "Yeah," He said He got up and walked over to my desk and sat on it leaned down "Hey, maybe you should come over after work," He said "Okay," I said He walked back over to his desk and a blonde came over to me "What history is between you two?" She asked "We just know each other," I said After work walked to 51 seeing as it was close and my brother was there and I need to talk to him I walked into the common "Hey do guys know 81 will be back?" I asked "In like an hour," Gallo said "Hm okay," I said I waited for 81 to get back and once they did I ran over to Matt "Alex, what is going on?" Matt asked "We need talk now like right now," I said pulling him to his office "Alex what?" He asked "Okay first I was pulled out of the academy today and now I work intelligence but my partner is Jay Halstead and there is feeling there now im going over to his apartment later," I said really fast "Alex you need to claim down," He said "Claim down Matt im going over to my ex's how can I claim down?" I asked "Alex you need to breathe," He said "I know it's just I really like him and I don't what to fuck it up again," I said I left and went home I have been living with Matt since I got back Jay picked me up and let's just say there was not much talking that night "I missed you, Alex," He said "I missed you too," I said "Wait Jay," I said "What Alex?" He asked "We can't," I said "Alex come on we both want it," He said "Yeah, but is this a good idea?" I asked "Alex let's just see, please," He said "Fine but we keep this a secret," I said "I can do that," He said "Yeah," I said taking off his shirt He picked me up and carried me to the bedroom. The next morning I woke up in Jay's arms he kissed shoulder were a cross tattoo was "Good morning babe," He said "Good morning," I said "Danmit," I said "What?" He asked "I don't have a change of clothes," I said "We can stop by your apartment on the way to work," He said "My brother," I said "And," He said "He going to know," I said "I also don't have a car yet," I said "So if we get I picked you up," He said "And how long will that work?" I asked "I don't know," He said Once Jay got dressed we head to mine and Matts apartment Jay went up with me and wait for me to get ready once I got ready I walked "And my brother isn't home yet," I said He kissed me and we heard the door open "Jay Alex why?" Matt asked "It just happened," I said "And so you guys are back together?" He asked "Yeah," Jay said We walked out to Jay's truck "Shot fired at 128 18th," We heard over the radio "5021 Gorge responding," Jay said We head to the scene we got out of the truck guns drawn shots were being fired in our direction "Shot fired at the police," Jay said I fell to the ground holding my shoulder it hurt it was also getting hard to breathe "Alex," Jay yelled running over to me "Jay im fine," I said before going unconscious PROV Jay "Officer down," I said into my walkie "10-4 ambulance en route," I heard I kept the pressure on the gunshot wound "Jess come on stay with me babe, please," I begged starting to cry The ambulance came and took Alex to Med
"Jay talk to me," Voight said "Were on way to the district when the call came over," I said "Okay get to Med," He said I went to Med and called Matt "Jay is Alex okay?" He asked "No she was shot," I said "How?" He asked "We responded to a call of shots fired," I said "Jay please tell me she going to be okay I can't lose her and I know you can't Jay. Didn't you once say you wanted to marry her?" He asked "Yeah," I said "So get into Med I'll be there," He said I hung up and walked into Med. Will walked over to me "When did Alex get back in town?" He asked "Like 8 month ago," I said "And are you guys back together?" He asked "Will," I said "Hey Jay she in surgery," He said "Will I can't lose her I lost her once," I said "Jay you won't," He said I went back to the district once Matt got there I walked into the locker room and looked at my self in the mirror and fell to the floor and started crying. I couldn't lose her after I just got her back.
