CHAPTER 6

"Why did they make this so hard?" I asked
"I don't know, Jay said
"Jay we should just honestly go to the courthouse," I said
"And I don't want to get killed by your brother and I think we should enjoy being engaged," He said
"But we should have a getaway maybe the cabin," I said
"I like that," He said
He kissed me. He kisses so gently, his lips so soft they make me feel as I am melting in his arms. He whispered in my ear tho I could not hear I could only feel his warmth as he picked me up and carried me to our bedroom. This night could not have been any more romantic, I cannot wait to marry Jay and become Mrs. Halstead, forever. The next morning I woke up in Jay's arms. It was always nice waking up in the man that you love arms every morning is nice. Last night was the most fun I had ever had. I tried to get up but Jay pulled me back
"Jay," I said
"No," He said
"Jay I have to get up," I said
"No, just a little longer Alex," He said
"Jay we have to go to work," I said
"So we have a fun night and we have to work the next morning," He said
"Yes babe it's called we work we get house we no work we have no house," I said
"Dang," He said
"Because you wanted round two didn't you?" I asked
"Yeah," He said kissing my neck

He let me and I walked to the bathroom I was followed
"Hey maybe we could save water," Jay said

We got into the shower after we took our shower we got dressed and went to work we walked in holding hands Trudy smailed at us
"You two," She said
"What," Jay said
"Jay she thinks we look cute together," I said
"Well yes but if Voight see this," She said
Jay let go of my hand I started to pout about it
"That's just not right," Kevin said
I turned around and looked at him
"Jay what did you do? She pouting," Kevin said
Jay looked at my face and I smailed
"This is why I hate best friends," He said
Kevin grabbed my hand
"See Jay," Kevin said
"Yeah I do," He said
"Jay, did Kevin steal Alexis from you?" Trudy asked
"No," Jay said
Kevin let go of my hand and Jay grabbed my hand and we walked up to the bullpen
"And then there was the Halsteads," Adam said
"What," I said
"Adams naming off couples he knows," Hailey said
"Oh dead romance," I said
"Kim and," I tried to say
"Alexis," Jay said
"Adam," said
"It's true," Hailey said
"Oh and Adam and Teagan," I said
"Oh okay that just rude," Adam said
"And," I said
"Voights coming," Kevin said
We all went to our desks and started working. Voight came up and went to his office
"Okay hm," I said
"Yeah what was that?" Kim asked
"I don't know," I said
"Should we ask," Kim suggested 
"NO," We all said
"Okay," Kim said
"So now who watching you children?" Jay asked
"We are not," I said
"You adam we're arguing Monday about who had a better shot time at the academy," Jay said
"What my time was better," I said
"Children," Hailey sang
"Okay you and Jay were arguing about how fast you could put a vest on, so we are all children," I said
"Okay fine, but still we need a boss," Jay said
"And Voight is are boss," I said
"So Adam," I said
"Yeah I'm right Casey," Adam said
"No, because it doesn't matter about who has a better time," I said
"Okay so because you were in the Army mean you have a better time," Adam said
"No, I just have more training," I said
"Do you think it worked?" I asked
Voight came out of his office
"I just got off the phone with major crimes someone in this unit planted dope, so whoever did it come to me now and we won't have a problem," He said
I looked at Hailey who started walking toward Voight I got up 
"Hailey don't we both have to take the fall," I whispered
"No it should be me," She said
"No I was there I didn't stop you," I said
"Fine," She said
We walked into Voight's office and closed the door
PROV Jay
I didn't know what just happened there but dope being planted in a car and Alexis and Hailey doing it why
"Jay, what the hell?" Kevin asked
"I don't know," I said
"Would they?" Mouse asked
"I don't think so," I said
"But why they just jeopardized their careers," Adam said
"Maybe they're a reason," I said
"What reason Jay?" Kevin asked
"I don't know guys all I know is that they could go to jail for planting dope," I said
They came out and walked to the locker room. I followed them
"Guys, what happened?" I asked
"I saw her do it, Jay I didn't stop her now were getting sent to the FBI to help," Alexis said
"Why how do I tell Matt his sister helped plant dope?" I asked
"I will tell him," She said
"Really how Alex? Oh hey Matt I watched Hailey plant dope in a car," I said
"Jay, why are you so mad?" She asked
"Because I can't lose you, Lex," I said
"Jay I will be back," I said
"And wedding planning?" I asked
"We do it over facetime," She said
"Lexi," I said
"Jay I can't change anything," She said
I walked out
PROV Alexis
"JAY," I yelled
I walked out after him
"Jay you can't just walk away," I said
"Lexi how long?" HE asked
"Maybe a month," I said
"And you'll come back?" He asked
"IYes Jay im not leaveing you," I said
"I know but you'll call me every night and morning?" He asked
"Yes," I said
He kissed me
"I will all ways come back to you," I said
"I know," He said

Hailey and Alexis have been gone 2 months and Iw as going to pick Alexis up from the airport Hailey was coming in on a later flight. I walked into the airport and saw Alexis she ran over to me and kissed me 
"I missed you, Jay," She said
"I missed you too," I said
"I love you so much," She said
"I love you too," I said
We walked out to the truck and got in and head home
"So how was new york?" I asked
"Good, but im glad to be back," She said
"Me too babe," I said

Here the thing I have friends and when you have them at a government agency like the FBI you can get out of stuff but I wasn't going to do that. Because Hailey need a wake-up call and I have been worried about Kevin
"Hm, so Kevin?" I asked
"Oh that is every just completed," Jay said
"Can please kick everyone in that unit's ass?" I asked
"No this is something you go kick peoples," He said
"They are being racist from what Mouse has told me," I said
"And then there's covid, and anything else that involves police," Jay said
"I know," I said
"What is going on," He said
"And the bullpen?" I asked
"I don't want to start," He said
"Honestly that's fine," I said
