Chapter 2

 I went back to Med and sat with Matt
"Honestly worst time to ask. But do you see you're self marrying my little sister?" Matt asked
"I mean yeah I love her," I said
"Jay she loves you too and she came to me and said she didn't want to fuck it up again," Matt said
"She didn't we're too far apart I was here and she was in Afghanistan we hated long-distance Matt. We also wanted to think about our relationship and that was for almost 3 years so this time I want it to be forever," I said
Soon Intelligence came
"Hey anything yet," Kevin asked
"No, she still in surgery," Matt said
PROV Matt
I wasn't doing good honestly I wish it was me in there not her. I knew she had been through worse but I hated when she got hurt she was my baby sister I had been messaging Brett
Brett- How is she?
Matt- Still in surgery
Brett- Do you want me to come?
Matt- No
Brett- Matt are you sure
Matt- Yes
Will came out about 2 hours later me and Jay had been here for 5 hours
"Will," I said
"She out of surgery," He said
"How she?" I asked
"Well surgery went well," He said
"Can see her?" I asked
"Yeah, Jay you want to come?" Will asked
Jay got up and we walked to her room
PROV Jay
"Will when will she be back at work?" I asked
"Like in possible a month," He said
"Thanks, Will," Matt said
We walked into her room I walked over to her and grabbed her hand and just stood there
"Jay don't blame your self," Matt said
"But I do Matt," I said
"Jay if you think I blame you I don't she won't either," He said
"I know but I'm her partner. I am supposed to have her back," I said
Matt left and I was left everyone came to check on her soon it was Voight
"Jay can I talk to," He said
"Yeah," I said
"Okay what's going on you an Casey," He asked
"We dated when we're in the military and now just seeing if we can," I said
"Will get in the way if you guys working together?" He asked
"No," I said
I walked back into her room and sat next to her bed and fell asleep
PROV Alexis
When I woke I could feel someone's hand on mine I looked over and saw Jay sleeping. Soon Will walked in
"Alex how are you feeling," Will asked
"Good I guess I mean I was shot," I said
"Yeah you were and your lucky Alex it could have been worse," He said
"And then there was that," I said looking at Jay who was still sleeping
"And he looks too peaceful," Will said
"No don't wake him up it's nice to have quit before he starts apologizing and starts a cute ramble," I said
"And yet no ring," He said
"Hey maybe one day," I said
"What happening?" Jay asked
"What happening is you should put ring her finger Jay," Will said
"No he doesn't Will," I said"
I why do guys have weird conversions?" Jay asked
"You know I was expecting an oh my gosh Alex I was so worried," I said
"Alex I was worried asks Will or Matt," He said
"I know babe," I said
"And why I'm still in here?" Will asked
"I don't know," Jay said
Will left and before Jay could start his cute ramble I kissed him
"What?" He asked
"I love it when you ramble I do but I just couldn't handle it," I said
"But Alex it's my fault," He said
"Jay really no it isn't," I said
"Alex I'm supposed to have your back," He said
"Jay sometimes we can't always keep each other from getting shot and you did have my back," I said
"Alex I can't lose again," He said
"You won't," I said
"I better not," He said
"You won't you will always have me," I said
"Oh and Voight knows," He said
"What how?" I asked
"He asked I can't lie to my boss," He said
It had been a few days and I was finally cleared to go home Matt was working so Jay was picking me up
"Hey keep him line," Will said
"I will," I said
"Hey," I heard Jay say
"Hey," I said
"What was he telling you?" Jay asked
"To keep you in line," I said kissing him
"Okay, so my place or yours?" He asked
"Mine," I said
"And Matt?" He asked
"24 hours," I said
"So we get the place to our selves," He said
"Yeah," I said

We didn't do much I fell asleep on the couch and so did Jay we slept on the couch all night 
PROV Jay
I heard the door being unlocked I grabbed my gun off the table and walked over to the door and opened it
"Sorry Matt," I said
"Jay why do have your gun?" Alexis asked
"Yeah it too early," Matt said
"Really Jay," Alexis said
"Sorry I didn't know it was him," I said
"Oh Jay," She said
I walked back over to the couch and sat down and put my arm around Jess
"I got to go to work," I said
"You'll come back right?" She asked
"Yes with some clothes," I said
"Okay  but my brothers going to be here the whole time," She said
"Yeah and I like where we are right now," I said
"I do too, "She said
"So I'll see you later," I said
"Yeah I can't really go anywhere
PROV Alexis
After Jay left I went to Matts room
"Hey sorry about that," I said
"It's fine," Matt said
"Are you sure?" I asked
"Yeah," He said
"And now the boredom starts," I said
"How?" He asked
"There you have no Disney movie me and Jay looked so we are getting Disney plus," I said
"Really you can't just watch NCIS or FBI," He said
"No I want to watch a Disney movie Matt," I said
"Fine we will get Disney Plus only on one condition I get to use it," He said
"Well um yeah," I said
"And is Jay coming back over?" He asked
"Yes is that okay?" I asked
"Yes Lex it's okay," He said
After we got Disney Plus we started watching some classics like Cadet Kelly and Cow Belles and then went to Netflix and watch The Spirit of Christmas and Mingle All the Way
"Why?" Matt asked
"Why what?" I asked
"I really don't understand he a spirit and they just kissed," Matt said
"Were you even watching? and he hot spirit" I said
"No," He said
"We are rewatching it and you will pay attention," I said
"Fine," He said
After an hour the movie was over 
"Why?" Matt asked
"Because it's a hallmark movie," I said
"I feel bad for Jay," He said
"Why?" I asked
"Because you watch Christmas movies in September," He said
PROV Jay
I walked up to Alexis and Matt's apartment I knocked on the door
"Matt shut up," I heard Alex say
"I give up," I heard Matt say
Alex opened the door
"Do I want to know?" I asked kissing her
"Unless you want to hear him," She said
I walked in
"Jay please tell my sister it is not okay to watch Christmas movies in September," Matt said
"No been there done that it wasn't fun," I said
"Jay come on it wasn't that bad," Alex said
"Maybe for you," I said
"Aw," Alex said
"I'm going to Kelly's," Matt said
Alex took me to her room
"And that how to get rid of older brothers," She said
"Really because we could have done it other way's," I said
"Yeah but we just spared him," She said
"You need your place," I said
"I do," She said
"Yes because then we can do whatever we want," I said
"Yeah we can," I said
I kissed her 
"Jay," She said
"What?" I asked
"He could come back," She said
"I don't care," I said
"Well then," she said
She grabbed the back of my neck and I grabbed her waist. After we're done I traced a pattern on her back
"Have are you going to get a car?" I asked
"Yeah," She said
"Do you want help?" I asked
"I don't know," She said
"Babe, why don't you know?" I asked
"I yes I want help," She said
"Okay so when?" I asked
"This weekend," She said
"Okay, and when is the appointment to be cleared for duty?" I asked
"Next week," She said
PROV Alexis
As we're talking Jay kept drawing stuff on my back it felt good
"That feels good," I said
"It does?" he said
"Uhm," I said1'
"That good?" He asked
"Yeah," I said
I got up and put on my clothes
"Wait you have another tattoo," Jay said
"Yeah got it kinda right after we broke," I said
"So are going to get that moon tattoo that you wanted to get,"  Jay asked me
"Yeah," I said
"And how did you get away with that rose tattoo on your neck?" He asked
"It called having long hair," I said
"Do want help?" He asked
"Yes," I said
He walked over to me and helped me with my shirt 
"Thank you," I said
He got dressed too and we walked out to the living room and sat on the couch I laid my head on Jay's lap he played with my hair
"Kevin I think worried about you," Jay said
"Why?" I asked
"He asked how you were doing," he said
"Or he was just being a good friend," I said
My phone dinged
"Speaking of Kevin," I said
Kevin-  Hey you want something to eat
"Jay want anything?" I asked
"No," He said
Alex- Yeah
Kevin- Cool
"And now I get food," I said
"and that sound like best friends," Jay said
"Yes," I said
Soon there was a knock at the door I got up to get it and opened it
"Kevin," I said
"WOW just wow," Jay said
"He brought food," I said
"Hey watch Christmas movie in September," Jay said
Kevin came in 
"Okay yeah, you guys are dating," Kevin said
"No," I said
"Okay, so Jay being here is a coincidence?" Kevin asked
"No telling please we just started again after a 3-year break," I said
"Wait what," Kevin said
"We dated when we're in the Army and we broke up because of distance," Jay said
"So history," Kevin said
"Yes," I said
"Well finally we know who the mystery girl was," Kevin said
"Mystery Girl Jay really," I said
"No I had nothing to do with that," He said
"He really didn't he was just always on the phone coming into work or texting and then he would not come to Mollys for a week or two and everybody was saying how Casey would be so happy if his sister got married," Kevin Said
"Oh yes even at 51," I said
After we ate Kevin left. Me and Jay went to my bedroom and got ready for bed and went to sleep I heard the front door open I got out of and grabbed my gun and walked out of my 
"Lex what the hell," Matt said
"Sorry it's late at night," I said
"Dang Lex go back to bed," He said
Walked into my room and put my gun away and got back into bed and fell asleep.
