"Hahahaha you're soooooo funny Colby" Colbys childhood best friend Maya basically screams across the guys living room, dont get me wrong I'm perfectly fine with Colby having girl friends... look at our friend group, but I do draw the line when one of them is all over him?
What's crazy to me and the rest of our friends is that Maya knows Colbys in a relationship, as well as Colbys completely oblivious to what's going on.
"Why do you speak to Colby y/n?" Kat suggests with a look of sympathy on her face, I sigh, "ive tried but he just says i'm being overprotective" her eyes squint in confusion, "please if someone was on Sam like that, they'd be out the door" I just smile. It was only Sam, Kat, Jake, Tara, Colby, Maya and myself tonight since everyone was busy.
"Oh my god Colbs! Do you remember when our parents wanted us to date haha" Maya says with an obnoxious laugh, place her hand on his upper arm, "oh yeah, funny" he says, not taking too much notice.
I just sigh again, "hey I'm gonna head upstairs" I see Tara and Kat frown at me, "you alright babe?" Colby asks nicely "I um, yeah, yeah I'm fine. Tired that's all" I respond
"Yeah Y/n you've really looked tired lately, I've noticed" my eyes dart over to Maya, " well I have been busy" i wasnt lying, i did have a job of my own which took up a bunch of my time.
"Hmm.. Colby needs a girl who has time for him" everyones eyes literally widen, I didnt get to spend as much time with him as I wanted to but still. My face is plastered with shock, I just shake my head and go up to our room.
Meanwhile downstairs.
"Colby why arent you saying anything? That's your girlfriend?" Tara asks, disgusted with Mayas words. "I- um dont know what to say" everyone could tell Colby was alittle shocked at Mayas comments.
"Hes not saying anything because he knows it true?, Colby I think you need to find yourself a new girlfriend, I don't think Y/n is working out for you "
"Woah woah woah, Y/n is one of the nicest girls i've seen Colby date" Sam says, sitting up in his chair while maya just smirks "he could do better" "I think you should leave" the man of the hour finally says, Maya's fave drops and her eyes dart over to Colbys "fine!, whatever" maya yells, grabbing her stuff and stomping out the house.
I hear someone running up the stairs, I hadn't heard much of what happened but I could hear all her comments.
Maybe I wasnt right for him? I don't know. The door opens to revel my boyfriend standing there shyly.
"Baby I'm so sorry" he says, walking over to the bed and sitting beside me. "Is it true? I mean I know I'm busy but-" "it's not true at all' he cuts me off, 'i love you so much and I shouldn't of let Maya even speak about you and however she thinks our relationship works, I know what's good for me and it's you" a smile grows across my face at his words as he pulls me into a hug
" I love you too but, if I see her again...." he chuckles, "I dont think we'll be seeing her every again my love"
