Andy POV
An adrenaline rush. That's all I feel when I go to the store. Any normal person would probably feel nothing, but when it comes to me and Aiden, there's anything but normalcy. We decided to go on a little "trip" to the store today. This wasn't one we'd typically go to, but we wanted a change and some other places started catching on to who we were.
We were walking to a large store in Massachusetts, masks on, bags on, and knives at hand. That was always Aiden's favorite weapon. They insisted that we must carry some with us for "defense," but I'm pretty sure they just wanted to have them for fun. We went into the store, staying as casual and sleek as we could. We had to get in and out of there as quickly as we could, so there was no time to waste.
We walked to the back of the store, ensuring that there were no workers around. We then began to take whatever we could. Clothes, food, electronics, weapons. Practically anything we needed to survive on the run.
I was looking down the isles, noticing that my bag was getting quite bulky. We needed to get out of there, but it seemed to late.
Aiden tapped my shoulder, leading me to look up at them. They pointed to a worker coming towards us, and they had a spread of determination across their face. As the worker came closer, we began to run. The staff started to crowd around us, and it looked as though our knives wouldn't do much to help us escape. I grabbed a baseball bat that was on a display, immediately knocking a few people out. I turned to see Aiden crouched on the ground, carving into the skin of some passed out workers.
"Seriously?" Aiden gave me a weak smile. "We need to get out of here and you're just carving into people? They're not pumpkins, y'know."
"I know," Aiden said dragging out the "o." "But didn't you want to have a little fun? And besides, you still owe me for teaching you all this shit." I just rolled my eyes at them, grabbing my bag and their arm. We quickly went outside, taking some bikes that were just outside the store.
We rode those bike for as long as we could, but the weight of the bags and Aiden's stupid asthma made us stop. We were pretty far from where we just were, but we still had to leave. We saw a gas station coming up, so we decided to stop there to see if we could steal any of the cars.
We pulled into the gas station, getting off the bikes and looking out for any unlocked vehicles. Aiden and I split up, looking around.
"Andy!" I turned to look at Aiden, seeing that they were standing next to a large white van with the words "Loded Diper" painted on it. I jogged over to the van, getting into the side door that Aiden had opened. We both got into the back, noticing that there were no keys in there. I was feeling a bit panicked about what had happened. Yes, Aiden and I had fled the area, but we were still at a risk of being caught. And if the owner of this van recognizes us, we're fucked.
"Aiden?" They turned to look at me.
    "What?"
"What happens if we get caught? I mean, I know we left the area and all but what about the camera footage? What happens if they know who we are? What happens if we get reported the police? What if-"
"Stop," Aiden said, cutting me off. "You know I wouldn't let that happen to us. We wear different masks each time, and they cover our whole face. And besides, I don't think anyone will know who we are. And if you're concerned about whoever owns this knowing, just look at the spelling on the van. How could someone that spells like that be smart enough to know who we are or what we do." Aiden let out a small laugh, and gave me a reassuring smile. I was still wary about the whole thing, but we've been doing this for so long and Aiden was right.
"Hey I was wondering if-." I was cut off by Aiden slapping their hand over my mouth. I looked at them questioningly, only to see the owner approaching the van.
They got into the car, setting a few bags down next to them. They seemed to be taking their time leaving, so I had to push it a little. I hit the back of their head, causing them to turned around. They looked at the two of us and just froze. I mean, how weird is it to see two people in the back of a van, covered in blood, and sweating bullets?
"Drive," I said in a stern voice. The person just sat there, not reacting.
    "He said to fucking drive."
