Rodrick POV
I had no idea what to do. There were two people in the back of my van covered in blood and one of them was holding a fucking knife. What if they worked for Charlie? What if they were gonna kill me? I still needed to get to y/n but now I had to deal with whatever this is.
"Hello? Can you not hear? We need you to drive," the one holding the knife said mockingly.
"W-who are you?" My voice was shaking slightly and panic was spreading through my body.
"Those kid of questions are for later, alright? We just need you to fucking drive or I'll slit your goddamn throat." They dropped the knife into their lap, clapping their hand over their mouth. As soon as they realized this, they scrambled to pick up the knife for it had fallen out of their lap. The shorter of the two glared at the other one, and I was just watching them in confusion.
"Don't mind them. The worst they can do is carve something into your face." They laughed a little bit, but I didn't see how this was a laughing matter. Regardless, I didn't want any kind of carving done to my body, so I began to drive.
I could hear the two in the back rustling around, probably situating themselves into the seat-less area. I kept driving, hearing them talking quietly.
"What the fuck Aiden? You can't just fucking threaten to kill someone the second they don't do what you want."
"Oh fuck off, dude. I didn't do it anyway, so isn't that a good thing?"
"Ig ig, but we still need to keep him alive. He's the only thing keeping us safe right now."
"Yeah but if he ends up like him we're leaving." Him? Fuck that reminds me of Charlie. And y/n. I continued to drive, slowly zoning out into my thoughts.
"Hey whore!" I snapped out of my daze to look over at the one with the knife, who I believe was Aiden. "Your face looks stupid, you okay?" I laughed a little bit, unsure of how to respond to that question. I then heard a slapping noise from the back, followed by talking.
"Dude, you can't just say that to a stranger."
"I know, but I'm just concerned, okay? Shut the the fuck up." I wasn't exactly sure how to react to all of this. From what I had gathered, the two seemed to know each other, and it was quite obvious that they were fleeing from something. That thing? No fucking idea. I had decided to at least try to get to know them better, since it felt as though we would be spending a lot of time together.
"So, uh, what's up with you guys?" I heard a laugh from behind me, but soon got a response.
"Well, I'm Aiden, and this is my friend, Andy." They pointed to the person sitting next to them. I quickly looked back a few times, taking in their appearances. Andy was a bit shorter than the other one, with chin-length hair with a white streak in it. He was on the skinnier side, wearing black basketball shorts with tights underneath, a long hoodie, and a pair of Vans. Aiden appeared to be goth, adorned in a long black skirt, a lace black top, and multiple silver accessories. Their hair was black and had been teased. They also had massive honk- fucking SHUT UP RODRICK. You still have y/n to find you perverted FUCK.
"We're actually on our way out of the state," they continued saying.
"Oh. Why is that," I asked, curious of their motives.
"Uh, well we're actually run-," they got cut off by Andy punching them in the shoulder.     "We're trying to get out of the state since we need a fresh start. We have some bad family here, and just want to get out of the area." Aiden nodded in agreement, although that didn't seem too truthful.
    "Oh, sorry about that."
"It's okay," Aiden said. "We're used to it by now."
"Well," Andy began. "What's up with you? Why do you seem so determined to get out of here?"
"Oh! And also, what's your name?" Aiden giggled slightly while asking that question.
    "My names Rodrick."
"Rodrick? The fuck kind of name is that?" Andy started laughing crazily, unable to grasp the fact that that was my name. That hurt a little.
    "A good one."
"I like it," Aiden said. "It's pretty rad."
"And I'm trying to find my girlfriend."
"What happened to her," they both asked at the same time. That question made me tear up a bit. I didn't really want to think about what had happened before I left.
"Uh, well someone took her. I think they did at least."
"Took her? If someone took her, why haven't you called the police," Andy asked me mockingly.
"The person that took her is a fucking psychotic piece of shit, so I kind of didn't want to get more pieces of shit involved."
    "Oh," Aiden said quietly.
"Anyway, what do you guys have on you? You've got some pretty massive bags with you."
"We just brought some supplies with us to make sure we can survive as long as we can without a house," Andy explained.
"Yeah, we've got a shit ton with us to make sure we don't die," Aiden said with an wry laugh. It seemed they thought everything was a joke.
"Sounds fun," I said, trying to go along with their humor.
"Yeah, and now that you're with us, it'll be even better," Andy said with a wink. I wouldn't have caught it if I wasn't looking at my mirrors, but it made me feel weird. I thought the guy was pretty attractive, but I couldn't have any distractions, let alone one that would keep me from finding y/n.
"So, where do you think she is?"
"I'm thinking somewhere around here. The guy that took her probably couldn't have gotten that far, and I remember he was staying somewhere when he was trying to find her again."
"Damn, he sounds like a real asshole," Aiden mumbled.
"He is," I said with a light chuckle.
As we continued to drive, I noticed how dark it was getting. I didn't know if I could go much longer without sleeping, and I didn't necessarily trust the two driving my precious van. I started pulling over, parking in an empty spot surrounded by leaves and trees. I unbuckled my seatbelt, turning towards the two in the back. Andy was asleep already, leaned against Aiden's shoulder.
"Y'know how to stealth camp?" Aiden completely dropped their chill demeanor, and began to act more serious.
"Stealth camp?" Aiden just looked at me in disappointment, but began to explain it.
"You need to cover up the windows and make it look like no one is in here. I have a few blankets we can use. Come on this side." I climbed over the chairs and got in the back. Aiden set Andy's head down onto their bags, and began to fasten the blanket to the ceiling using some string. We set up some spare sleeping bags I had in the back seat, settling in for the night.
Aiden laid Andy down onto one of the sleeping bags, being sure not to wake him. They got into one themself, slowly drifting off into sleep.
This is going to be a wild fucking ride.
