Troopers End - CHAPTER 8

Havoc platoon waited in their trenches as Galek hops in the trench with them looking over all of the CIS forces on the hill in front of them. Galek looked at his hologram seeing the timer go down slowly till it hit 0:10. Everything started to go as planned. Galek swiftly started pointing to his men giving orders on where to go and what to do. Xesh squad stayed with Galek and Zannah as Havoc 1-1 and Havoc 2-1 move to the left and right of the trench line. Zannah Ignited her lightsaber as it began to rain down from the dark clouds. Galek used his radio and said

"This is Havoc Actual to all Mortar teams, you are clear to send bombardment on sector 4, over"

The plunk sounds of the mortars launching and the whisp sound of them flying overhead was like heaven to Galek. Deep down inside he felt like this war would never end even with the craziest strategies. The mortars land on the tanks and infantry that were waiting for them on the hill making it an even bigger explosion. Zannah yells out loud for the troops to hear.

"They are weakened troopers, let us show them who the 597th really are, let havoc reign upon our enemies! TO VICTORY OR DEATH!"

The troopers of both Havoc 1-1 and 2-1 pushed out of the trench line firing at whatever droid/203rd human division was left from the bombardment. Zannah and Galek pushed up farther than Havoc platoon fighting side by side. Galek fired his DC-15S at one droid and shot another droid with his DC-17, while Zannah used the force on a CIS trooper and made him a meat shield. Galek shot another droid and then signaled his Heavies to push up further.

The Heavies pushed up in a line with breachers using the shields in front of them. Everything in their path was being destroyed without an issue. The sound of an AAT could be heard from a mile away and Galek looked to his side seeing an RPS. He slid to it picking it up swiftly, loading a rocket and pointed it at the AAT turning the corner. Galek screams out loud before firing

"ROCKET ROCKET ROCKET!"

Galek fires the rocket and it hits the main hull of the AAT with flames coming out of the hatch. Zannah stood still walking towards Galek un igniting her lightsaber.

"Captain, it seems like the battle has been won. Shall we prepare the LAA——" Zannah says cutting herself off

Zannah looked down to see the dark black spot on her chest. Galek hears the whisp and looks at her and sees the little smoke coming from her chest. He dropped the RPS and ran to her swiftly as she began falling to her knees he caught her and held her in his arms.

"No no no no, stay with me General," Galek said softly to Zannah then looking up at the troopers surrounding him to cover him with the shields, "SOMEONE GET THE MEDIC OVER HERE NOW!" He yelled

The grip of her hand loosened on her lightsaber as it fell out of her hand onto the ground. Galek knew she was gone, and then he saw on his arm his comlink start blinking. He clicked it and listened to the transmission

"She was the first to go Galek, you are next alongside your squad"

The Voice of Baron taunting him on his comlink angered him. He picked up Zannah's lightsaber and attached it to his waist. The Red of his Visor reflected Zannah's face. Wraith ran over and saw Galek put Zannah's body down on the ground and take a Z6 from a heavy. Wraith put his arm on Galek's shoulder before he stormed past Wraith.

"What are you going to do?" Wraith asked Galek

"To finish what we started" Galek responded with an angered voice

"When you kill him, put in a shot for all of Havoc" wraith said, "we'll get the body back to the Leviathon and come back for you"

Galek nodded and kept walking into the factory disappearing in the darkness. Wraith ordered everyone else to pick up the body and RTB on the LAATs back to the Leviathan. Galek held his Z6 ready in the dark factory listening to Baron's voice torment him.
