"You're the one who hurt them!?" Amy yelled, clenching her fists at the poor girl. Y/n put her hands up, waving her head.

"No, no, not me! A copy of me!" Y/n said, though she knew that sounded unbelievable. Before Amy could do anything drastic, Shadow held his arm out in front of the girl.

"She's not lying. Apparently, Eggman created a copy of this girl with a chaos emerald. Y/n is 'not ready to use yet', according to Eggman, so he made a copy, with the same powers." Shadow explained. Amy huffed, dropping her hands to her sides.

"Well, are you okay?" She asked, still hesitant to trust the human. Y/n slowly nodded her head, unsure if she actually was.

"I was trapped there for a month. I couldn't sleep very well, and he didn't give me much to eat. I'm really tired." She said, rubbing her eye. She let out a yawn, exhausted. Amy sighed, placing her hand on the girl's back.

"You two should come inside and rest. Cream, Blaze, and I will prepare some food while you sleep. Come on." Amy said, gently pushing the two towards the front door. Shadow and Y/n walked inside, Y/n looking around.

Shadow threw himself onto the sofa, falling asleep within a few seconds. Y/n sat on the sofa as well, her elbow on the arm as she rested her chin on her palm. She watched as Amy, Cream, and the aforementioned cat, Blaze, sit in chairs around the room.

"So, where is your home, Y/n?" Amy asked, giving the girl a smile as if telling her 'take your time'. Y/n looked down at the floor, unsure of how to answer.

"It's... really far away. I don't know how to get back. My friend brought me here, but he was taken by Eggman too. I haven't seen him in over a month. I think he's gone..." Y/n muttered, feeling sad. She missed Metal, she needed him.

She didn't understand why she felt like she needed him so bad. Of course he was her friend, but she felt something more, something unexplainable for her. It felt good, but it also made her sad, because she missed him.

"You look like you're really sad over him. Did you love him?" Cream suddenly asked, surprising Y/n. Amy, who was briefing Blaze on who Y/n was, looked at Cream in shock. She and Blaze looked over at Y/n, waiting for an answer.

"I um..." Y/n bit her lip, growing nervous. She realized she was hesitating, and blushed brightly. There was no way she loved Metal, a robot, right? And even if she did, he obviously didn't return the feelings, did he?

"Who was your friend?" Blaze asked, curious. Y/n huffed, puffing her cheeks out in embarrassment.

"M-Metal Sonic..." Y/n stuttered, looking down sadly. Mentioning him made her feel more sad, she missed him so much.

"Metal Sonic!? He took you here!? He kidnapped you!?" Amy exclaimed, shocked. Y/n jumped, startled by her voice. She shook her head quickly, waving her hands frantically.

"No, no! Metal was protecting me. He was my friend. He tried to save me from Eggman, but he couldn't do it, he didn't have the energy. He was dying from low battery, and couldn't escape in time. I miss him a lot, he's my best friend. I've never had a friend like him..." Y/n said, her eyes watering as she recalled their memories together.

Amy frowned, looking over to Blaze and Cream, who also wore the same sad frown. They looked back over at Y/n, who was clearly on the verge of crying. She wiped her eyes with her palm, trying to hold back her tears.

"I never knew Metal was like that... Maybe you turned him good. I'm sure he's okay, Eggman wouldn't get rid of Metal. Maybe we could find him again someday." Amy said. Y/n looked up at her, wondering if she really meant that.
