I don't see you like I should
You look so misunderstood
And I wish I could help
But it's hard when I hate myself
Pray to God with my arms open
If this is it, then I feel hopeless
And I wish I could help
But it's hard when I hate myself

Elias finally pulled up at the quarry and we all got out. I grabbed Althea's hand and kept her close to me.

I didn't trust Elias. I didn't care who he actually loved, all I knew was that now that I had Althea, I wasn't going to let her go ever again.

"Where's the jet?" Elias asked.

I took the bottle the Achilles gave me and handed it to Althea, "I need to change my scent..." I whispered to her, "My father would easily track me otherwise..." I explained. She nodded and looked around.

She moved off and came back with a bucket, "Here!" She said, dumping the bucked of what I now knew was burnt debris on my head.

"Now spit in the bottle and break it." She demanded.

Part of me was annoyed at her for throwing burnt whatever on me but the other half was slightly turned on. I loved it when she was demanding, in control.

"Okay, step back." I stated before spitting into the bottle.

I threw it on the floor and seconds later a flash filled the sky and the jet had appeared in front of us.

"Damn..." Elias muttered as he headed straight for the jet.

All we had to do now was wait for Achilles to show up and hope that my father would be too slow to track me. Then we could leave and Althea and I could finally be together.

Elias was long gone, doing God knows what in the jet. It felt like we'd been waiting outside for hours. Neither me or Althea said anything. There was tension and I didn't understand it.

As I turned to look at her, her body language was so closed off, she was slightly turned away from me, her arms crossed. Her head down. Had I done something wrong? God I probably have!

"Althea...?" I questioned.

She jumped and looked up, "Yeah? Sorry what?" She asked, looking around before her beautiful brown eyes stopped at me.

"Are you okay? Have I done something wrong?" I asked nervously. My heart was beating out of my chest and I could feel Téfra pacing around.

(Ashes)

What if she didn't want to be with me anymore? What if she rejects us?

She was silent and just stared at me. She didn't say anything but she didn't take her eyes off of me either.

Her silence was unnerving and I thought I was going to pass out.

She sighed heavily but still didn't say anything.

"Althea—" I was cut off by her moving forward and hugging me.

I slowly hugged her back, and rested my chin on her head. My eyes closed as I listened to her uneven heartbeat regulate and I just took her in.

It felt likes years since we last had a basic feeling of touch. Holding her felt like I'd just found another piece of my soul all over again.

I breathed in her scent which was slightly different but dismissed it, I just wanted her.

She pulled away from me but I didn't let her go as I pulled her back for a kiss. I couldn't even remember if we'd kissed already but it felt like the first time all over again.

I caressed her cheek as her hands ran through my hair, tugging at it. My tongue found hers as they danced together desperately, connecting us again.

My hands travelled down her back and found her her ass and gave it a squeeze, as she moaned into the kiss, driving my senses into a frenzy.

We pulled away as someone cleared their throat and turned around to see Achilles.

Althea's face blushed a heavy red as she rushed onto the jet, not even giving Achilles as second glance.

My head suddenly snapped as I heard something snap. Achilles didn't notice as he made his way onto the jet, not even acknowledging his interruption.

I looked around again but saw nothing. But I could smell them. Pack members.

"Evan? Let's go!" Althea called before ducking back into the jet.

I looked around once more and headed towards the jet with an annoyed groan.

"Cock block..."
