After that mission, you were assigned a bunch more. The team didn't think of you as useless anymore, so they gave that title to Formaggio. He didn't like it at all, but you were glad it was off your back. You soon earned the code name Mendacius, The Roman God of Deception. Everyone in Passione, maybe even Naples, knew of Mendacius. People knew of you, but never what you looked like.
The others got slightly jealous of you. You would get missions specifically for you to do from other mafiosos in Passione that didn't want to get their hands dirty. You would equally share the money with your team anyways, but they still wish they got the attention you did.
The couple, Sorbet and Gelato, went missing one night. They were soon found dead later, one of them being shipped to the house in pieces. It was a horrifying sight, even for you. You cried for them but soon regained your composure. You never dwelled on the deaths of others for very long, there was no point. They tried to find the bosses identity, leading to the boss killing them. You thought it was their fault, they should've known going against such a man of high ranking would lead to nowhere good.
Soon after the two deaths, Risotto had called you into a room for a so-called private meeting...
"Yes Capo?" You asked sitting in a brown arm chair across from Risotto. He looked angry, a look that was rare to see on his face. You shifted uncomfortably in your seat as his gaze rested on the ground.
"Did you... Did you request to leave us?" He asks, his red eyes looking into your (E/C) ones. You were shocked. Risotto never really showed emotions to the group, so seeing him this mad was a rare and scary sight.
"W-What?! No I would never, you guys are my family! Why would you even ask that?" You ask the taller man. He sat in a chair across from you and rubbed his nose with his fingers. He set down a piece of paper he was holding, allowing me to see what was written.
Dear Risotto,
I regret to inform you that the boss would like (Y/N) (L/N) to switch from the hitman team to another smaller team. You will let her know the team, which will be listed at the bottom of this letter, and where she is to meet them. The boss wants this done now, and if not completed within 24 hours of the recieving of this message, will order the direct assasination of the rest of your team.
Bruno Bucciarati (xxx street @ 17:30 on 1/26)
Sincerely,
xxxx
You gasped as your eyes widened. 'Changing teams? Why? What did I do? That date's tomorrow, I leave them all tomorrow.'
"I think it's best if you just go and don't tell them. They'll forget easier that way." Risotto said coldly. You looked up at him to see his normal blank expression on his face, but his eyes looked slightly irritated.
"What?" You ask, raising your voice slightly. You were getting angry now, you didn't want to leave them, not for some other team.
"You heard the boss (Y/N)." He said standing up and walking away from you. This made you even more pissed now.
"Oh right, because we always listen to the bosses orders. Why don't we just-" You try to say but got interrupted quickly.
"Just go (Y/N)!" Risotto yelled in his deep voice as he turned to face you again. He was as angry as you were, but he was trying not to show it, failing miserably. You jumped a little at his harsh tone as he sighed. "You just need to go. I'd rather lose you to another team than have you lose your life." He finished quietly walking out of the room, throwing the paper into your lap.
