Bonding

It was lunch and Raven was outside eating by herself, she was thinking about her first game and how it felt being on the court for the first time. She remember being nervous seeing the much bigger players. Tanaka and Yu slap her back seeing how tense she was, "Don't worry sis, you got this ok. I won't let the ball touch the ground." Yu whispers to her. "Yeah, come on girl get in the game." Tanaka rub her arm. The fact they was more confident then her said a lot. "You're right. Let's do this." That day they won.

Raven smile under her hood as she look down at her drawing she was creating, it was a cat sitting on top of the school fence. Raven felt a tap on her shoulders seeing Asahi smiling down at her with his lunch, "Hey, mind if I join?" He ask. Raven shook her head, "No, go ahead. Let me move my stuff." She put her backpack with her skateboard attached off to the other side. "Thanks." Asahi sat down eating his food.

"That was a good game the other day." He said breaking the silence that was over them. Raven nod still working on her drawing with her hood and beanie on. "It was, I think with the first time jitters gone things will go much more smoothly." The two smile, their team may have won but at the same time everyone was all over the place. Raven and Tanaka had a few collisions, she step on someone hand, it was just a mess.

"Yeah, that's something Captain is going to chew us about later." Asahi smiles. He stare down at her seeing her drawing, "You are a talented artist you know that." He commented. Raven stare up at him peeking threw her hood, "Really, you are. That's amazing work." Raven blush looking to her unfinished drawing, "Thank you, you are very nice." She told him. Asahi finish his lunch taking a sip of his protein drink. "What else are you into?" He ask.

Raven thought about it with her pen on her chin, "I love music and playing my guitar." Asahi eyes widen, "You know how to play?" He ask. Raven nod, "I taught myself. Yu love hearing me play, he practically bust in my room anytime I pull it out. It's cute." Raven smiles thinking about her brother. Asahi blush seeing her smile, 'Your cute.' He thought. "Tanaka wants to learn as well, but I think really he like to listen to me play like Yu does." Raven chuckle.

"You three are close huh?" Asahi ask. Raven nod her head, "We are." Raven stare at him pulling down her hood leaving her in her beanie, "How about you?" She ask. Asahi blush rubbing his head, "I'm not as interesting as you, I mean i'm pretty boring if you ask me." He told her. Raven nod her head, "I don't mind boring." She told him with a smile. Asahi felt his heart stop for a split second, "You...like boring?" He slowly ask. Raven nod going back to her drawing, "I think boring is cute. It means you are a blank canvas, and you just haven't for your talent. Searching for it, is the most fun." Raven turn her notebook around to get a better angle as Asahi was sure his face was matching a tomato, "When you find what your interested in, boring turn into a masterpiece." Raven finishes with a smile to him.

Asahi was like a stone figure with a bright red face as he stare at her smile, 'She really is cool.' He couldn't help but to think. "Raven-" He was cut off by the team walking over, "Raven Girl!" Tanaka greeted as he sat down across from her, Yu taking the seat next to her. "Hey Sis! Hey Asahi!" He greeted with his usual smile. "Hey guys." Raven said. 

Suga and Daichi join sitting close to Asahi, "Hope we didn't interrupt anything." Suga smile to his red face friend. "No, we were just talking about stuff." Raven calmly said, "Wow you drew that! Looks damn near real." Daichi commented seeing her cat drawing, the rest of the table stare everyone agreeing it look good. "Thanks, it was boring at first. But I added details and now its almost a masterpiece." Raven told them.

Asahi gasp staring at her as she talk with everyone at the table, "Asahi! Hey man that spike you did was totally cool! You're so strong!" Yu lean over his sister who push him back on his seat. Asahi finally found himself out of his stupa, "Thanks, your saves are really good as well Yu." Raven and Asahi smile at one another. The whole table flow into conversations about random things, and girls in Tanaka and Yu case. "Hey Raven, how about we plant you in the girls gym so we can watch. I have a camera we can use." Tanaka whispers to her. "No." Raven smile at him pushing him back down with her finger. "Awe, come on sis! It's the perfect plan." Yu whines next. Raven only laugh causing Asahi to once again to be in a trance.

The bell rung giving everyone a ten minute warning to get to class, "Damn, lunch is always so short." Yu complains. Raven put her notebook in her bag, zipping it up. "Yeah, I know what you mean." She said to him. She rub his hair as he walk out in front of her, "Hey Raven." He suddenly ask. "Yeah Bro?" "Can you dye my hair as well?" He ask. They started to go their separate ways to their classes, "Sure, lets do it tonight." She told him. Yu smile making Raven feel like a good sister, "Thanks Sis!" He hug her than ran to catch up with Tanaka.

Raven turn to go back to her own class when a hand grab her wrist gently, she turn around seeing Asahi smiling at her. "Sorry, I was wondering if you may want to practice later. I need to work on things and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind helping." He rub his head feeling embarrass and nervous, "You don't have to of course." "I don't mind Asahi. What ever you need, i'll help you ok." She smile. Asahi nod his head, "Thank you Raven." She nods walking to class.

Raven stare at the small pink paper she was just handed once again, it read. 'Detention' She sigh tossing her head back. It was her fifth one, due to her not wearing the proper girl uniform. She snatch the paper standing up when the final bell rung out. 'Even students in advance classes get in trouble.' She thought.

She found Asahi in the other building hold the bright pink paper, "Hey, we may need to rearrange our plans." She told him. Asahi felt disappointment than spotted the pink paper in her hand, "Detention?" He said with shock. Raven rub her head, "Yeah, I get one every week." She told him like it was no big deal, for her it wasn't. "Uniform you know." She said with smile. 

Asahi can see that, she had on the shirt but wore pants instead of the skirt. He wasn't sure how she pulled that off, she had her hoodie over the school shirt with her beanie on her head. Staring down at her shoes she also wore the boys shoes instead of the girls. Raven really did make up her own uniform. "It's cool. I get it." He told her. Raven sigh, "I was really looking forward it." She told him. Asahi blink, "You were?" "Yeah, I like spending time with you. You're cool." She shrug, "I need to go before Vice Principle Dick Wad beat me to the room."

Asahi chuckles, "Hey Raven." He called out. He ran to her smiling down as his heart beat fast in his chest. "I like spending time with you as well." Raven blush red much to Asahi enjoyment, he was getting more confident knowing he can make her turn red just by being himself. Of course Raven once again beat him, "You're cute." She turn around calmly walking to the detention room. Asahi felt his nose bleed, "She said I was cute." His mouth open more slapping his face, "Come on dude stop acting like a dork." He said to himself. He open his eyes, much to his horror Raven turn around smiling at him. Asahi laugh nervously turning away wanting to sink in the ground and never come up again.

Raven took a seat at the usual desk where she wait out her detention. Other kids fill the room including Tanaka and Yu, "What are you two doing here?" She ask as they sat next to her. "This dumb ass thought it would be good idea to put a whoopee cushion in one of the girls seat in our class." Tanaka grumbles glaring at Yu. "I thought it was Yugi! I didn't' know it was hers!" Yu defending himself for his mistake. 

Tanaka ignore him staring at Raven, "How about you Raven Girl?" He ask with his chin resting in his hand. The three stare at one another blinking already knowing the answer, "Uniform." The three said while laughing. "Alright quiet down." V.P. Dick Wad has enter the room. "No talking for the next hour. If I hear one peep, that hour will start over. I have all day." Raven sigh lean back in her chair staring at the clock as the hand just struck at the top of the hour. She found herself smiling as Asahi face came to her mind, 'I think the hour will go by fast today.' She thought.
