Different Game

Ukai kept his eyes on Raven when Suga entered the game, it was the first time he saw her actually engage in the game. Seeing the excitement in her face and the concentration she has was refreshing for him. It does show that Raven do care about the sport and her team. His attention went to his team, seeing them back in the groove. 'Maybe seeing Suga gave her more hope at being truly able to play.' He thought. 'That is, if she stop getting angry.'

Raven watch as it was once again Oikawa serve, 'Here we go.' She thought as he toss the ball, the ball speed down the middle of the court, "Daichi!" Suga shouted. Daichi receive the ball like a true pro, "Nice! boy!" Raven shouted throwing her fist in the air. She watch to see who Suga would give the ball to this time, he had really good options out there up front. Raven follow the ball as he set the ball to Tanaka, 'Great choice Suga!' Raven smile seeing Tanaka running to take his ball, Tanaka slam the ball in Aoba Johsai court scoring them the leading point. "Yeah! There you go Bestie!" Raven shouted along with the rest of the team. Tanaka gave her a thumbs up with a huge smile, Raven clap at him like his biggest cheerleader.

Raven watch as Suga and Kageyama switch places once again, Raven smile at Suga when he ran back to place. She gave him a big smile making him blush rubbing his head, even he had to admit she is cute. Raven attention went to back to the game ready to see how this will turn out. "Raven." Ukai called. She look seeing him waving her over, she stood up keeping to the wall to not be in anyone way. "Yeah Coach?" She asked. He patted the seat next to him.

Raven sat down staring at him waiting, "Listen, don't lose hope ok. I think we really need to switch things up from time to time. So be ready when that happens." Ukai told her with his eyes still on the game. Raven eyes lit up, she nod her head with a smile. "Ok Coach." She quickly stood up going back to her bench. Ukai chuckles at her before paying attention to his players, 'I think, if I see her play. I may know how to move everyone around, and make this team the best it can be.' Ukai thoughts went to Nekomata when he first saw Raven benched. 'He was so adament on saying I made a foolish mistake. Just how good is Raven in a real game?' Ukai thought.

Now as he sat here and after he talk with her, he realize he never seen her in a real game. In practice, she always looked like a lazy player. Did things so half assed that Ukai truly thought she didn't want to even be here with the team. But seeing how Oikawa reacts to her, he can't help but to think that old bastard was right about him. He may made the wrong call putting Raven on the sidelines.

The score was 24-22, Raven stare at Oikawa seeing him in a completely different mindset. That smile was completely gone replace by the true top player he became. 'This is, the real deal right now.' She thought. Oikawa serve a super fast ball, Yu receive it forcing the ball back over to Aoba Johsai net. She watch as Oikawa got in position, 'Who is he sending it to?' Her eyes follow his hands and eyes, Kageyama grab Tsukishima jersey following Oikawa as well. Raven follow the ball as Oikawa passed it to Iwaizumi. Kageyama and Tsukishima blocked the ball. Raven let out a sigh of relief, "I can't take this." She huffs.

When set three rolled around Aoba Johsai wasn't playing around, they are proving why the are the number four team. Raven even couldn't believe how good Oikawa really is, she remember him playing back when they were young. But seeing him now, 'Is this why Daichi was surprise me, Tanaka, and Yu beat him?' Raven asked her self as she watch the game, Kageyama and Hinata was putting in work putting their team back on the board. 'If we keep this up, we may have a chance.' Raven thought as the game continue onward.

After the shock of Tadashi being put in the game to serve Raven was once again at the edge of her seat. The score was 24-22, the match point was just around the corner. Raven can see her team losing momentum, "Hey!" Yu shouted. He than smile strong still with fight in him, "Don't give up now! Let's give it all we got!" Raven nod smiling seeing her teammates getting their second wind. Asahi killed the ball earning Karasuno another point. "Yeah! Nice Kill!" The scrubs all yelled.

Tanaka was making the most important serve of his career, he hit the ball making Aoba Johsai Libero receive the ball. Oikawa reach for the ball to send over but Kageyama reach for the ball as well, his fingertips set the ball for Hinata to come in scoring them their next point. Raven clap her hands with her eyes wide seeing they were deuce with Aoba Johsai. "Come on, just two more point." She said shaking one leg in anticipation. 

Raven eyes move back to the score board when Hinata made another impressive save. The score was now 24-25. This last set will be an all or nothing for both teams. Aoba Johsai scored another point making things even more frustrating. Because Oikawa was now up for a serve. "Shit." Raven mumbles staring at Oikawa watching his serves with keen eyes. 

Oikawa serve the ball, it was heading straight towards her brother. Raven eyes narrow just as Yu did, "Out." She said. Yu didn't bother receiving the ball allowing it to just go out of bounds. "Good eye Nishi!" Their team shouted to him, "Thanks." He replied back. Raven officially decided she needed a time out from life after this stressful game.

The score was now pass 30, everyone was exhausted. Raven was exhausted just watching, both sides were keeping the ball in the air. Raven was tracking the ball like a moth to the brightest light, "Keep it in play!." Daichi holler as Oikawa set the ball for Iwaizumi. Tanaka shoulder kept the ball still in play. Kageyama called for the ball, "It's mine!" He hollers. Hinata and Kageyama both got into the perfect positions for their quick attack. Hinata jump for the ball as Kageyama set him up flawlessly. 

Aoba Johsai did a triple block on them. Raven frown eyes narrow as the ball bounce off their block, it landed on their side of the net. Giving Aoba Johsai the winning point.

Raven kept her head up staring at the fallen ball as it rolled near her foot. She stood up tossing the ball to the referee as they set up for the next game. She grab the ball basket pushing it behind her teammates, before they can fully leave the gym Oikawa put his hand on the basket stopping her. Karasuno stopped staring at the two of them. Asahi was getting tired of Oikawa bothering his girlfriend, "Now what." He growls.

Oikawa and Raven stare each other down, "Next time. You better be in the game, and you better bring everything you got. This was just a warning to you on how I will tear you down." Oikawa smile to her. His attention went to the rest of the team, "You guys were good, but clearly not good enough. Make sure you bring players that brings a challenge. It's more fun when i'm breaking a sweat." Oikawa gave Raven one last look before walking off. Raven felt like taking a ball throwing it at his head.

She took a few deep breaths, "Oikawa." She calmly said. Oikawa stopped not turning around. "Next time, it's me and you bro." Raven threaten. Oikawa smile waving over his shoulder, "I'll be waiting delinquent." Raven watch as he walk off to get ready for his next game. Her sharp eyes turn around seeing her team giving her bright eyes and smiling even Ukai was joining in, "Raven." Hinata said. Raven raise her eyebrow, "What squirt?" She asked. "You are so cool." Raven blush pushing the basket pass her blushing team.

Tanaka and Yu tagged along mocking her speech she said to Oikawa, Raven threw balls at them telling them to shut it. Hinata join praising her on her awesomeness as well. Asahi felt a slap on his shoulder just as his mind went into a very lustful place after hearing his girlfriend threaten Oikawa. "You are a lucky man Man Bun." Ukai told him with a smile seeing the team getting out of their funk. Asahi blush rubbing his head, "Yeah, I guess I am." Asahi smiles following behind Raven and her admirers.
