Hollywood Babylon (4)
Kylie's POV
We explored the backstage when everyone was away, our EMF meters going off like crazy.
"From the night of Brad's stage dive. All of a sudden, I'm getting electromagnetic readings ups the wazoo." Dean let out when the three of us met up again. "For some reason, it's a legit haunting now."
"Well, who's the ghost, Dean? What's it want?" I questioned.
"I don't know." He shook his head. "I think we should take a look at Brad's death scene."
Dean led us outside onto the lot, sneaking us onto a very fancy trailer. I took in the surroundings as Dean popped in a DVD.
"Hey, where'd you get this DVD?" Sam asked.
"They're called dailies." He explained, sitting on the table with the remote. "I got it from Cindy. She's kind of got this on-and-off thing going with Drew. He dubbed me an extra copy."
I turned away from one of the sparkly decorations to look at Dean. "Who are you?"
He gave me a smile and a wink before turning on the 'daily', fast-forwarding through the scene until Brad came through the roof, hanging by his neck.
"All right, here's where the guy fell through the roof."
"Right." I nodded, studying the screen.
"All right, here we go." Dean said nodded before rewinding it.
"They must have super-hearing."
That was the last line before Brad fell through the roof, my eyes traveled to something flickering in the far corner.
"Hey, wait, go back, go back." I instructed, Dean doing as I said. "Right after. Right aft- yeah, right. Wait there!"
Dean paused the frame and on the screen there was a completely different set and standing in the far corner was a ghostly white woman.
"It's like 'Three Men and a Baby' all over again." Dean turned with disbelief. "Selleck, Danson, and Guttenberg. And . . . I don't know who played the baby."
Sam shook his head. "What's your point?"
I let out a sigh, leaning against the wall of the trailer. "There's a scene in the movie where people say that the camera caught a ghost on film. Apparently, in the background of one of the scenes, there was this boy that nobody remembers from set."
Sam nodded, now understanding, while Dean gleamed at me.
"See." Dean snapped. "I knew I liked you for a reason."
I rolled my eyes just as Sam sat forward in his seat, his eyes focused on the screen. "I've seen her before."
"Where?" I questioned.
Sam was gone for a while, gathering his research, while Dean and I sat behind the movie set. Dean chatting away on his headset as I watched him.
"What?" He asked, pulling the headphone away from his ear when he noticed me staring.
I shrugged. "You just look different is all."
He raised a brow. "I look different?" He questioned. "Like a good different or a bad different?"
I let out a soft laugh and shook my head. "Like a happy different. Maybe L.A. is good for you."
He smirked and placed his hands on the table I was sitting at. "You know, you could start off that acting career as Hot Girl 1, and I can be your P.A." He leaned down to kiss me softly.
