" It was a good idea to go out today " i said inhaling the fresh air as i walked around the garden .

" You are right mother , the fall is finally here " yasemin said staring at the trees

" mother can i ask you " yasemin continyed with a quiet voice

" Of course you can " i reassured her

" how did my father look like ? I have always heard about him.but never had the chance to see him " as she mentionned his name my heart clenched as all the memories got built up again

" Are you okay " yasemin said noticing the expression on my face but i quickly smiled

" I had lived with him the most beautiful days of my life , he gave me the world in my hands and was ready to give up on his life for me " i sighed " the nine of us were a happy family but everyone started leaving one by one in front of my eyes "

" Did i upset you or i shouldn't bring up this " she  caressed my hand then stared at her

" I am trying to get you on picture when yoy weren't here " i explained

" Safiye sultan will pay so much for this , she seperated me from you . I can't understand how can she do this " i clenched my fist before yasemin released it

" what matters is we are together now right ? " she flashed her bright smile

" Yes , i promise that i will make sure you always feel happy "

" Sultanum , disaster " before i could turn around haci agha stood infront of me .

" What is it in this morning " i gave him an expression

" The venetians are declaring a war on us and they probably will attack the capital " my heart dropped to my stomach .

" What are you saying " i looked at him anxiously

" His majesty is waiting for you " i nodded and looked at yasemin

" My dear , weren't you going to visit hanzade ? Haci prepare the carriage for her " i said giving her a nod before i left followed my two maids .

This just wasn't the right time for a war at all . I entered the palace and quickly went towards his room . The door opened revealing osman and his brothers along with silahtar who bowed

" is it true what i heard " i asked walking towards osman .

" Yes mother , they only waited for the chance " he said looking at us

" This season is not good for a war at all and won't do us any good " Mehmed explained looking at the window

" winter is already coming and it will take them one week to arrive " silahtar explained in the map around us

" This shouldn't happen , they should dream about setting a foot in here " osman said determined

" What are you going to do ? The soldiers can't endure the cold weather " i said explaining my point of view

" signing an agreement should never happen , as i looked into the history we have never made peace with them and it will never happen " he said sure of himself

" Your highness , i have a solution but it might not work " silahtar spoke unsure of himself

" What about not taking the soldiers it can be just the divan , your highness and some of the soldiers " he explained gaining a head nod from osman

" How are you sure that they're not going to attack you , the reports say they are more than 10 thousand soldier " murad said putting the reports on the table

" Or , let them march towards the country . The weather isn't going to change yet since it only takes 15 days to leave the country . Approach them carefully and fight them  " i said pointing at the nearest place to our country

" This might do good " osman nodded " but we should get prepared in 3 days to win some time " osman explained

" it's about time to teach them a lesson " silahtar spoke .

" You can retreat , mother i would like to speak to you " i nodded and waited for my princes and silahtar to leave .

After thet respectfully bowed i was left alone with osman .

" Mother " he grabbed my hands as we walked to his balcony

" i didn't want to speak infront of my brothers but i would like to have your permission " i looked at his worried face but couldn't read his mind yet

" Come on say it " i tapped his hand a little bit

" I want to take my brothers with me " he said looking away and i immediately understood his fear . He was fearing they will take advantage of his absence

" what you are thinking about will never happen " i reassured him " as long as i live no one will dare to something like that "

" If you want to take them , i want you to put them right before your eyes . I cannot bear losing any one again " he looked into my eyes and smiled

" they are my brothers i would never do something bad to them believe me " i nodded quietly

" Look , it is important to take every divan member here . But i would need someone trustworthy to stay here in the capital , hanzade's husband should stay " i explained to him while he was sinking in his thoughts

" If his staying will make stability and will do you good then he can stay " he nodded quietly

" I should get going right now , update me if anything happens " he kissed my hand and hugged me for some moment before i left his room .

As i left , i caught a glance of haci agha followed my a girl . She was osman's concubine

" Valide sultan" they both bowed and i scanned them both

" what's happening ? Why are you coming in this morning "i asked the girl who couldn't look at me

" I have something important to say to his majesty " she shyly spoke and i looked at haci agha

" she's pregnant " haci agha smiled crossing his arms together

" and why i don't know about it ? " i asked looking at them smiling

I immediately understood that she wanted to say it to osman first , i remembered when i always waited to tell ahmed the news first . I looked at the girl and all the memories started building up again .

How this golden path was used to he mine , how i would always run to ahmed's room after a terrible day , but now everything changed . I wasn't that young girl anymore and ahmed wasn't here too .

" yes go and tell him the news " i smiled at her and left them both walking towards my room .

The door to my room opened and immediately felt a vague of diziness and my sight was starting to get blurry .

The two maids standing there both helped me up

" Sultnanum are you fine should i call the doctor " i shook my head as i started to regain my strenght back

I never felt like this before , and i didn't know what was happening either

" sultanum you have a nose bleed " one maid gasped

i closed my eyes for a moment

" Aghas call the doctor our valide sultan is sick " the other woman ran outside as the other maid helped walk towards my bed .
