Is it too much to hope
That I might see clearly
For one day,
And keep that vision
In memory,
A touchstone for
My life, and
Not, with every dawn,
Have to search again?
Oh, that we might,
At long last take our stand.
And yet each sunrise whispers,
"There is more to understand."
