You sleep peacefully for the time being, having a nice dream about being in an open field. The field was on a hill. It's absolutely covered in flowers, all but the one spot that you're sitting in. Everywhere around you are unnaturally colored flowers, but they seemed to be real. Each one with silky smooth petals when touched as you slowly let your right hand graze against them. Most of the flowers seem to be yellow, but among them are variations of whites and creams. There are even some shades of blue.

You're still enjoying your time, sitting peacefully in that dreamy field..
You know that you're dreaming and one-hundred percent asleep, but decide to stay right where you are, not changing a thing even though you could at any moment..

-thump-

You lay down and close your eyes. Even within the dream it's peaceful to just rest.
You breathe deeply for a bit, taking in the smell of the beautiful flowers..

-thump-

You notice this time. That sound..
That sound wasn't coming from within your dream.
You openly wake yourself up, opening your eyes but staying frozen in place.

-thump-

You realize what the sound was..
Josuke's subtle heartbeat. Your head is laying right on top of his upper half. You lay there in shock for a moment.. but the sound of his still quiet breathing was so calming and comforting to you. You felt safe..
"𝘑𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨.." you thought, not wanting to take your head off of his warm chest
"𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵.. 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴."
You hesitate before sitting up and sighing.
That's what wakes him up.
"Huh- oh, (Y/N)? D-Did you fall asleep her-"

You respond as fast as possible, trying to avoid any further questionings. "No. I've been up finishing our work. You're the one that fell asleep, silly." You're now pretending to still be working on the countless papers that are scattered across the bed. You hated lying about it, but there's no way you could tell Josuke what really happened.

"S-Sorry about that, then-" Josuke said, seeming embarrassed and ashamed.

You only nod and gather his schoolwork into a nice stack, setting it beside him on the bed. "I- I should get going." You stuttered out quickly. A whole night didn't even pass, the sleep was more of a nap, really. It only lasted about three hours. "It's getting late, I should get home before it gets too dark; y-you know?" You quickly put your things back into your flimsy backpack, throwing it over your shoulder and leaving without another word.

"(Y/N), wait-" Josuke said in an attempt to get you to stay a bit longer

Tomoko quickly turned her head to watch you run out of the front door, but didn't have time to say anything either.

You were already running home. They were both a bit sad to see you leave without notice.

It started to drizzle mid-run. You start to sprint now, then the sky brings fucking hell apon you as it starts to pour hard. Your black boots that you favor oh so much are now making a -splash- sound every step you took. "Gah- I hate the sound of rain.."
You speedily run all of the way back home, drenched in the wet liquid that people call rain.
You swing open the front door and step inside, but can't go anywhere due to your mother standing right in front of you. "(Y/N)! YOU WERE OUT FOR FAR LONGER THAN YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE GOING TO B-" She noticed how wet you were. "For fucks sake, (Y/N). If you would've just came home a LOT sooner like I thought you were going to-"
You ignore her and run upstairs to your room, throwing your backpack on the floor next to your bed so it slightly leans against one of the wooden legs.
(M/N) sighs in frustration and starts doing the dishes.
You immediately take a shower and change into fresh pajamas, feeling comfortable again.
You turn your head to look at the small display clock sitting on top of your dresser and see that it's 10:34 P.M. "𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘱, 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘪'𝘭𝘭 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘶𝘱 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵.."you thought, before sitting down onto your still comfortable bed.
You pull the blankets over yourself. It's really soft, but definitely not as comforting as being next to Josuke..
You adjust your pillow and lay down, wanting this day to be over with already. Despite not being tired, you still close your eyes and try to drift off to sleep..
It eventually works. You successfully fall into the dream realm, seeing yourself in that flower field once again..
