♡Falling Fast♡ (Josuke x Reader)

☁️Balcony 'Date'☁️

You slowly wake up, feeling dizzy as Hell. Reaching up to rub your eyes, your vision stabilizes; revealing the perfectly able to be seen alarm clock still that sits on top of your dresser.

The time displayed was: '2:37 AM'

You blink, lowering your hands as you start to try to remember how and why you passed out..
Then it clicked. Josuke. You immediately felt your face get hot again, but one shake of your head makes you snap back into reality.

"It's so fucking early.." You said in a quiet, but tired and raspy voice to yourself, still staring at the display clock. You blink hard and long, looking back at the clock again.

'5:48 AM'

You're confused, but came to the conclusion that you had just fallen asleep for a bit..

"(Y/N)! IT'S TIME TO GET UP AND READY FOR SCHOOL!" Your mom yelled at you from downstairs.

You didn't respond. Not because you wanted to sleep in, but because you felt like you had no time to. No being lazy anymore starting now. You wanted to get to school as soon as possible. For Josuke.
You push your blankets away and get up silently with a smile, changing into normal everyday clothes. A chalk green t-shirt and jean shorts. The damn school still hasn't given you a proper uniform..
You go into the bathroom connected to your room. It's nicely tiled and shiny like new since it was obviously just very recently built. After turning on the sink, you pick up your light blue toothbrush and brush your teeth, floss and brush your hair, twirling it as you look in the mirror. You want to look good, but not as if you're desperate.

A few minutes pass and you're now downstairs ready to leave after finishing your morning routine.

"Oh! (Y/N)! You're up on time for once!" Your mother exclaimed

You nod, smile still on your face. "Mhm! Sure am!"

You adjust the backpack on your back. It kind of matches your shirt. "Bye mom!" You say sweetly before skipping out the door. She's a bit suspicious by your sudden happy mood, but doesn't think much of it other than feeling better about herself. 

You look down at your feet as you walk down the same sidewalk that you're slowly starting to get used to. Those black boots of yours really do seem to shine in the daylight, like they're the center of attention in a huge sea of people.
You look up and around, no one is near you. Typical. What else did you expect? At least the scenery is nice as always.

You arrive at school after a few minutes, passing the water fountain and stepping inside the building, going to your classroom. You immediately spot Josuke and look away, keeping your head down as you walk over to and sit down in your hard plastic seat. 

"Ah, (Y/N)! You're on time! Great job!" Your teacher says as he starts clapping for a short while.

You nod, staying silent while trying not to make eye contact with ANYONE.

About twenty minutes into class, you catch Josuke staring at you. You can't help but look back in his direction. He raises his right hand, keeping the other under the desk and trying his best to sign 'do what I do.' You're confused until hearing what he says next.

"Sir, can I go to the bathroom?"

The teacher sets down his book and practically facepalms. "Josuke. This is like the eightieth time this month."

Josuke frowns.

The teacher sighs. "Just keep it quick, alright?"

"R-Right." Josuke stands up and hastily leaves the room, hoping that you got his memo.

You turn your head to look at the clock, waiting for five minutes to pass before raising your hand and asking the same question.

After a bit of suspicion and confusion within him, your kind teacher lets you go.

Standing up, you leave your backpack by the chair you sit at and walk out of the room. Josuke is just down the hall, waving to you from behind a trashcan. 
Confused, you walk over to him. You don't know what this could be about; only one way to find out. "H-Hey.. what's going on?"

"(Y/N)!" The trashcan moves away from Josuke 'on it's own' as he speaks. "I can't believe you're actually going to do this with me..!"

You tilt your head like a dog who had just been teased. 

"Come on, just follow me. This is going to be GREAT!" He pushes up his hair, not a single strand falling out of place.

You nod, not really knowing how to respond. Before you know it, Josuke is already outside of the whole damn building. "WAIT UP!" You yell from a distance as you run towards him, eventually getting to the same spot.

"Shh.." Josuke looked up, pointing to what seems to be a balcony near the top of the school.

"A-Are you saying that we're going u-up there?!" You say, trying your best to whisper so no school supervisors or other students noticed you.

He nods. "We're ditching class, (Y/N). Trust me, i've been up there so many times. We'll be fine!" He starts walking up the fire-ladder-type stairs. The metal 'clink' it made with every step he took made you more and more nervous that you were both going to get caught, but you follow behind him anyways. "𝘈𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴.." You thought, approaching the top of the building. 

Josuke makes it, hopping over the pole fence to get onto the platform. "Come on, (Y/N)!" He sits down and waits for you.

Taking the final step, you look down. There's a gap between the stairs and the balcony. One wrong jump and it's all over. " 𝘐 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬. 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐 𝘈𝘔 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴-" You say to yourself in your head. "𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦.. 𝘑𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘬𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘪𝘵, 𝘴𝘰 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘰!" You try to assure yourself before looking back up at the fence and reaching out, ready to go.
You jump and grab onto the fence, but struggle to pull yourself up all the way. Your hands are slipping. Is this really the end..?

Josuke looks up and quickly stands. "Shit! (Y/N)!" He reaches over, holding out his hand for you to take.

You hesitate, grabbing his hand looking down again and crying. No sobs were let out, but the tears streaming down your face are making your vision terribly blurry. 

He pulls you up with way more strength than you imagined he could have. Both of you tumble back onto the balcony safely. You're trembling in fear, knowing you damn well could've died right then and there..
You scoot back to the side, staring out into the distance. Morioh is actually smaller than you believed it to be..

Josuke lets out a sigh of relief, basically crawling over to sit next to you. "You okay?"

"M-Mhm.." God, you're so embarrassed. Bad thoughts stared to rush through your head. Things like: "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘸 𝘶𝘴? and "𝘏𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸.."

Josuke rests his hand on your cheek for a moment, wiping away your tears before pulling away and staring out into the town as well.

You both stayed silent for a long while in awe of the view. After calming down a bit, Josuke speaks up. "It's worth it, huh? Being up here alone and all.."

"Sure is.." You smile warmly, turning to look at him in the eyes. 

"I always come up here by myself. What's the point in paying attention if I already have bad grades?" He laughs a bit, blushing after noticing you staring..

"I told you that I would help. Did you turn in your work that we did together?" You ask, taking your gaze away from his eyes

"Yeah, did you?" He replied with a slight teasing-like voice

"Mhm." You yawn, still tired from waking up in the middle of the night..

Josuke puts his backpack in his lap and pats it.

You give him a confused look. "What are you doing?"

He mumbled: "Lay down."

"Huh?"

Josuke grabs your waist and pulls you into a laying position. Your head is now resting on his backpack. You laugh before replying. "I'm not tiredd!" You whine

He sighs. "Come on, (Y/N). Just get some rest.. you've been staying up pretty late recently."

You hold your breath for a moment. You know that he knows you stayed up the night you worked together, but he said recently.. as of referring to many past days. How would he even know that..?
You reach up and grab his face, pulling it down until your noses touch. "Fine. But only on one condition." 

Josuke blushes HARD, looking away for a minute to try and get a hold of himself.

"Welllll..?" You say quietly

He leans down and kisses you. Just a small one, though. Similar to last time.

You smile sweetly and close your eyes, sighing and feeling safe. "Thanks.."

Josuke stays silent.

You eventually fall asleep as Josuke gently strokes your hair, making sure you're comfortable.
