You reached the twilight of your life - the final stretch. The end was so close, though it took much longer to arrive than you originally assumed.

You laid on the grass bed, staring at the stars that always had been there for you. Though the sun may outshine them during the day, darkness is required for them to beam. You glanced from the stars littered along the sky to the barren object that accompanies them. The moon shone in your eyes, reflecting off your pupils.

Your attention snapped back to the sea of stars. One was beating. Followed by another. Which was before the entire sky was beating.

You smiled to the sky and closed your eyes, succumbing to the inevitable sleep that'd been trying to catch you for years.

You felt like you were floating when your eyes slowly opened, not seeing nor feeling the grassy field you expected. You were floating.
