Feelings

It was 8pm and the team had finally put the unsub in custody. You saw everyone just about ready to drop right then and there on the floor. But we grabbed our things and headed to the plane.

Everyone sat particularly close to each other. Spencer sat next to you. During the week you and Spencer had been quite flirty in your opinion. His thigh would rub against yours and his eyes. His beautiful brown eyes always looked at you with admiration. His small smile made you feel warm.

It is my first week here I need to calm myself.

"Alright guys lets go out and have a drink when we get back" Derek said as he sat next to Hotch

"Yes I am going to have to relax after this case" Emily said sitting back 

"Sounds fun but I don't know-" JJ cut you off "Come on y/n it will be like a small welcome to the team party plus we should get to know you more" 

You smiled and gave in

"Fine but no promises... my secrets will stay my secrets" You giggled

"Oh I challenge that" Spencer said as he lifted his sight from the book he was reading to you

"I'd like to see you try" You said nudging his shoulder

Considering our first interaction at the elevator it oddly surprised you that he was warming up to your touch. You guessed it was the fact that you were now a part of the team.

Two drinks in and you already felt a slight buzz. You hadn't had a drink in so long. Hotch and Rossi decided not to come along. You were all sitting in a booth in the middle of a bar. The music was horrible but the drinks tasted great.

"So y/n why did you transfer" Emily asked taking a sip of her margarita

"um.. not sure... it felt like I just had a boring life back home. I grew up in New York and lived there my whole life. I needed a change" you took another sip of your martini

Your leg wanted to start shaking and your breath was starting to get heavier. 

Calm down. They can not know the truth. They are profilers. Come on I need to calm down.

"Nice nice... do you like boy genius here" JJ said

You cleared your throat "Um- what"

"He is such a shy kid... look at him he has barely said a word" Derek spoke up "A lot of our new members think he is strange"

"Hey I am not strange.. this is just not my scene" spencer spoke up

"His scene is a book store and a kale smoothie" Penelope leaned into you

You giggled "I think all of you are great although I wouldn't see a bookstore as a place for fun" 

Spencer glared at you "Guys make fun of me all you want because I have to go"

"Pretty boy these are jokes come on sit and drink" Derek smiled lightly

"Oh please you think you can break me" He laughed as he got up from his seat "Maeve is waiting for me outside"

"Maeve?" You questioned

"His little girlfriend" JJ spoke

Your felt a knot in your stomach 

"JJ don not start at least I can see her whenever I want Ms. Commitment issues" He grabbed his bag

"Oo your words burn" JJ said taking her hands to her chest and clutching it as everyone laughed
