They had thrown us into a van, and we were heading somewhere now. I could not see anything because the whole back of the van was covered up. I held Hazel close to me as we came to a sudden stop. I could hear people talking, but it was all mumbling. I held my breath at the sound of more cars showing up, what was going on?

"Mamma?"

"Yes baby?" I ask looking down at Hazels red face "What's going on?"

"I don't know" she snuggled into my side and I tightened my arms around her tiny body "I wish I knew"

I stared at the door as the sound of the door unlocking clicked, holding my breath I kept my arms tightly wrapped around Hazel. The door flung open and the guy I have come to know as River was smirking with two other guys behind him, they had blank faces.

"Give me the kid" River's smirk dropped

"No, you have to get through me" I growled

"Very well" he nodded to the two guys behind him, and he stepped away. The guys walked up and reached in the van for me

"No" I kicked at one of the guys only for him to grab my leg and pull me towards him "Let me go"

I thrashed around and he just shrugged me off, I suddenly felt a hand punch my stomach and I doubled over in pain. I heard laugh as he had hit the not fully healed bullet wounds. The guy picked me up and started to walk me away from the van, he had a rough grip on my upper arm and a hand over my mouth.

I tried to get away, but there was no use. Quickly we stopped just in front of the van and I try to look over at the other man that was holding Hazel. She had tears dripping down her face and that made me burst into tears. They were going to kill us now, Asher did not come for us, River did not get what he wanted, so he can now kill us. I prayed to god a miracle would happen

"Just a few more minutes" River tapped his watch before looking down the road.

We were at what looked like an old, abandoned farm. After a minute or so the sound of two cars started to come down the road and once, they came into view I recognized them right away. Asher was here, was he going to save us after all? Asher, Hadley, and Ryder all stepped out of the two cars and took a few steps towards us

"Stop!" River yelled before grabbing Hazel out of the guy's arms. Suddenly I felt something cold on my head, a gun

"River give them over" Asher voice boomed around us

"Remember our agreement" he waved his gun around before pointing it at Hazel. I gasped and tried to run towards them only to be stopped

"Yes, will all leave. Just give the girls over and we are gone. The gang is... yours" I was shocked, he was giving the gang up for us?

"Alright" River set Hazel down

"Hazel come here, come to Aunty" Hadley held out her arms, Hazel quickly ran towards them. The man had yet to let me go

"Let Tessa go" Asher took a few steps forwards

"Let her go Josh" the guy let me go and I ran towards Asher who wrapped his arms around me tightly

"Hey, I got you" he whispered in my ear, I had not even realized I was crying again

Suddenly I heard gun shots and look back to see River and his men dead on the ground. I gasped and looked back up at Asher to see him smirking, he was not going to give up his gang. He had this planned out, get us to safety and then kill River and his men. Smart move Asher

"I want to go home" I whispered looking up at him, he looked down at me

He studied me for a second before grabbing the back of my head and smashing his lips on mine, I was shocked for a second before I kissed him back with just as much force. God, I did miss kissing him. We pulled away and I smiled like an idiot as he guided me to his car which had Hazel already asleep in the back, we have had a long two weeks.

Slowly my eyes started to close, and I felt a hand slip into mine, I gave it a general squeeze and he returned it. Without much resisting I gave into the darkness and fell quickly asleep, let the nightmares begin.
