Arcadia looked at her sister.

Rylan looked horrified.

Cayden's screams echoed through the halls.

Arcadia's father had no mercy to Cayden.

His pleas and begs rang in their minds for months on end.

Cayden was killed by their father.

They heard it.

They knew it.

No one could deny it.

It hurt them all.

It changed them all.

Rylan became less enthusiastic.

Martin became quiet.

Titainia became diseased with his memories.

Arcadia became friendlier.

Arcadia felt bad for hating him.

When someone passes away who tormented you, you can't really say, "Oh, they deserved it."

Because that's no human.

You end up begrudgingly forgiving them.

It didn't matter that he had broken several of her bones, ripped her earlobe off once (that took a month in magic hospital) and had fractured her skull.

It wasn't humane to hate him.

Well, at least that's what she thought.

Titainia was a mess.

She had lost her boyfriend and best friend.

And only in her fourth year.

The first three years they all hung out.

It was bliss.

But there was odd tension between Arcadia and Cayden.

Rylan and Martin always had to pull them away from fights.

It was odd.

When she asked anyone about it they looked away and changed the subject.

She hated that she didn't know what was happening.

She hated being left out.

It hurt her.

A lot.

Cayden's death almost killed her.

She had her memory migraines.

They got worse overtime.

She became weaker after each one.

Her health was deteriorating.

Everyone could see.

Titainia's mother was devastated.

She screamed at Arcadia's father.

This led to their arguments.

And Titainia's mother's injuries.

It helped no one.

Especially not Casey, Anna or Tina herself.

Their friends could only pray for a better future.
