𝖤𝗇𝗃𝗈𝗒!

Trista bit her lip.

"Auntie Jade!" She said, running to her to hug her.

The woman nearly fell over.

"Hello Darling." She laughed shakily.

"How is Laura?" Trista asked.

Aunt Jade exhaled.

"Sweetheart, I know how you love your cousin so much... But it's not looking good."

Trista's heart dropped.

Laura.

Her bestfriend.

They were always together.

They made jewellery together.

They grew up together.

They loved eachother.

They were inseparable.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

Trista didn't realise that tears were falling.

She was in such a state of shock how could she realise?

They were supposed to get into Hogwarts together.

They made it.

But now only one of them would actually go.

Sob.

Sob.

Sob.

Sob.

Sob.

She held her face in her hands.

She wailed.

She cried.

She kicked.

She screamed.

But what difference did it make?

There was still hope.

Very little.

But still hope.

She wiped away a tears and readjusted herself.

She pushed the doors of the hospital room open.

"Trista..." Groaned a voice.

She rushed to her cousins side.

Laura held her hand out.

Trista squeezed it.

"I love you." They whispered.

"So what have you been doing?" Laura asked coolly as if she wasn't on her death bed.

Laura had always been the cool one.

The better one.

The more important one.

And now look at her.

Her confidence still strong.

"Walked Oscar around the park. I bumped into Oliver and he smirked at me. He asked me out. I was really surprised." Trista rambled.

Her voice stopped.

She forgot Laura had a crush on Oliver.

Laura's smile faltered.

"Were his mates around, cuz I swear when I get our of here I'll beat him up if he was doing a dare or some shit-" She growled, making her bestfriend giggle.

"I didn't see his mates anywhere. Anyway, this really cute guy approached me asking about you~" She teased.

"Who, Toby?" Laura laughed sadly.

Laura was popular as hell.

All the boys wanting her.

But when she got ill no one visited her.

Everyone forgot her.

Leaving Trista alone to have panic attacks at the thought of her best friend at hospital.

It was really fricked up.

Trista looked at her friend with eyes full of sadness.

"Yeah, it was. He asked which hospital and which room you were in. He might visit you." She smiled.

Laura choked.

"Really?"

Maybe this disease didn't matter after all.

They haven't changed at all.

Still best friends.

One confident.

One shy.

Nothing changed.

And they were going to make sure of it.

Signing off, Rose.
