Part 17 | We met again

After the eventful night the two needed to parted ways as Minnie had bothered Shuhua again early in the morning just to come at the bar but before Shuhua left the two had a silent breakfast that it was deafening already.

"I'll drive you to your work place since I'll be going on the same way." Shuhua broke the silence as she smiles at the older. Soojin smiled at the younger apologetically. "I'm bringing my car today since I need to go somewhere today to check something." the younger just nodded her head understanding her.

"Then I'll go now." the younger was already picking her phone up on the table and Soojin felt a tug on her heart. She doesn't want the younger to go. "Okay." she replied shortly as the older walked Shuhua outside of the house.

The two were already outside of the house. Before Soojin can ever say her goodbye Shuhua leaned forward to kiss the side of the older ones lips making Soojin to be flustered by the younger ones action. Shuhua was brave and bold enough to do such thing. "Bye" Shuhua waved her hand as she entered her car with her heart thumping so fast like it wants to break Shuhua's rib cage already.

Soojin was still standing outside of the house as Shuhua's car vanished from her sight with her burning cheeks the older managed to smile as she unconsciously touched the place where she the younger kissed her. She was brought back to reality when she remembered that she needs to visit Daejeon Police Station today. 

S H U H U A -

I entered the bar with a wide smile plastered on my face. "Your face looks like a clown." she turned her head to the person who just arrived with Minnie unnie beside her. "Shut up Song Yuqi you look more like a clown than me." I fired back.

Minnie unnie just laughed at us. "Kids let's talk on my office not here." we followed her inside her office.

"Our Yuqi fell in love. Should I host a party for you? I remember when you used to warn and remind me before." I laughed at her reaction as I continue to tease her.

"Can I ask for a favor?" Yuqi's soft voice lingered to the place we both look at her. I saw Minnie unnie's gaze soften at Yuqi as I just smiled at her waiting for her to continue. I noticed how she fiddles with her fingers as bead of sweats started to form on her forehead. Why is she anxious? I thought while observing her actions intently.

"Can someone drive me to Daejeon." we both furrowed our eyebrows at what she said. "Shu drive her there. I have things to do." Minnie immediately said before chuckling. "She just needs to see the girl." Minnie unnie added.

"Unnie." Yuqi whined making me laugh at her because she rarely addresses Minnie as her unnie. "Just tell me where and when do you want to go. I'm currently free all day." I nonchalantly said as I shrugged my shoulders slumping my body to the couch.

"Then can we go now?" I heard her ask me full of enthusiasm. I shook my head before smiling at her. "Then let's go we don't want to keep your girl waiting." I said teasingly as I hurriedly went out to escape from Yuqi from smacking me to death.

I waited for Yuqi outside as I lean on my car. "You little piece of sh-" she almost cursed but when she looked around there were a lot of people looking at her weirdly. She bowed to them as I stifle a laugh while watching her. "Let's go before I leave you there." I yelled as entered my car turning the engine on.

It was not that a long ride. "Where are we actually headed to?" we stopped by in a convenience store since we were both hungry. "Daejeon Police Station." she casually said while munching on her sandwich. "What the heck are you going to do in a police station?" I confusingly said. Why on earth would we go there?

"Because Soyeon is there?" I squinted my eyebrows at the mentioned name. "Who's Soyeon?" I ask, drinking my water. We walked out of the convenience store as she looks from left to right. "My girl." she simply as I laugh my ass off. "You do know that she isn't your girl yet." I commented.

"Whatever." she replied.

Soojin arrived at the police station safely. She parked her car while getting her things. She went out of her car with a folder on her hand. She was reading the information from the folder once again just to make it sure.

When she bumped into someone she look up to the person who was wearing a blue hoodie. "I'm sorry." Soojin apologized as the man just stared at her. The man was brought back to reality when he noticed who she bumped into.

Shuhua and Yuqi was already inside the police station and were already walking outside. Soyeon was not here. "I forgot that left Soyeon at her house." Yuqi abruptly said. The maknae noticed how worried Yuqi was for the girl. "Then let's go." Shuhua dragged Yuqi to her car but Yuqi saw a familiar figure not far from them.

"Is that Soojin?" Yuqi asks while watching the girl with man. Shuhua's eyes immediately followed Yuqi's gaze. She felt her anger boiling at the sight but most likely to the man.

"I'm really sorry." Soojin apologized again bowing her head. "No it's okay." the man smiled at the engineer. Soojin dislikes the man's smile. Shuhua's smile was better than his.

"We met again." the man whispered but it was loud enough for Soojin.
