Jo was finally able to scrub in with Meredith on the surgery. It felt like heaven to her. She had not touched a suction tool or a scalpel in months!
"You and Alex need to cool it on sex!" Meredith says. "Every time I see you guys, you just were just hooking up!"
"We do not have sex all the time!" Jo says. "Alex has been sad so I've been trying to cheer him up."
Meredith rolls her and eyes and laughs.
They finish up the surgery successfully. No major clotting and no major bleeders. Jo jumps with joy! This was her first successfully living patient since Covid!
Meredith and Jo walk up to the ICU, and are greeted with a disappointed Bailey.
"I hate to break it to you guys, but Mr. Nelson (your patient) has tested positive for Covid-19. You 2 will need to quarantine for 14 days to make sure you are not sick. Understood?"
Jo looks at Meredith and sighs. Now she won't be able to do what she does best for 14 days!
Jo and Meredith decide to quarantine together, along with Alex. Meredith was promised no sex, but seems to not know Jo and Alex well.
