A song to you

To a friend that finally be back

A song to you

I was singing a song to you

I doubt you know what I do

I have too many secrets to tell who

But the greatest one of all includes friends, with you

Once in a land full of nothing

There was me and everyone else

I tried to fit in but I was alone suffering

Oh how I tried to make friends

Where we would laugh and play or making amends

But it wasn't worth it

With how they soon left

And I could only let tears wash my eyes as I sit

Why must everyone I get close to get theft

Is it true, I am destined to be alone

It wasn't until I finally gave up, with anyone new

Being with acquaintances who at my feet ,were thrown

We became a little close, but they were going to leave I known

And then one day out of surprise

A mixed up schedule and ones I never really talked of

We came forth to a time with common communications and a sun rise

They claimed they planned to stay, closer than a glove

It was you the veggie boy

And you, the cheese girl

Not your average joy

whose skin was like a pearl

And hair was ginger, soy

Finally, taking their time to go up to me

Both of you did it so

And it was not just me

I just though woah

Oh why couldn't we met sooner

Before the moon, was so lunar

But like before once again, I was afraid

An outbreak hit, making both leave

Emptiness and distress, my mind played

And then I given up and it wasn't until that eve

Standing there, waiting patiently

I had nothing to do but be waiting aimlessly

It was then again, standing out the door

There returning and I saw you once more

You said you will return

Just wait a few more weeks

But as excited as I was for some reason I lied causing my guilt to burn

And I had to find an excuse to make it and without you realizing the leaks

Meaning: The narrator felt out of placed and forced herself to have friends, but were never that close.  They always end up moving away or were people that they could not deal with.   Even with the laughs and playfulness it wasn't the same as other friends.  It would happen each time with the new pair of people that became friends.  They got along and then they end up going away.  It wasn't their choice, but that final one made them finally stop looking for people.  Then one day the narrator just became acquaintances when some and some of them became kinda friends.  With schedules different the narrator found true people who felt her more than the next.  One surprising day some new ones came to us and the narrator became closer with them then she ever did.  They went out of their way to spend time and for once she felt like they truly cared.  But then they switched classes making them unable to see the other.  She thought it was doomed and sadness came but a day out of blue came and she saw them coming.  They promise to stay and soon she see them as friends once more.
