Touching the hem of the fabric
She pulled harshly
Tearing every piece of itStaring at the skies
Her eyes darted slowly
Into the sparkling light of the starsTearing up
Her eyes moist
No longer dry
She turned aroundDid the world deceive her?
Maybe she should have never lived for it.Taking deep breaths
She made her way
Into the hospital bedroomTelling herself she no longer has time
As the world faded between the blinded curtains
Above her head
Now lay a family of five
