Antara's pov
I received the call and when I heard the voice of the person in the call the smile from my lips vanished and anger took on.
"Happy birthday beautiful." I heard that creep's voice
The audacity of his that he dared to call me.
"Why the hell did you call me?" I asked him calmly as much I can because today is my birthday and I don't want to ruin my mood
"is it wrong to wish the person you love on her birthday Antara?" he asked and honestly telling I want to smack his head on the wall hard
"Stop your nonsense and dare you to call me again and again I will lodge a complaint against you." Saying I cut the call and blocked his this number
"What happened? Who called you? " Pakhi asked me
"kalpit who else. That idiot does not understand the meaning of no. God knows when he will stop bothering me. He is a local gang leader that's why has so much to worry about. I said I will lodge a complaint against him but what's the catch? He will be free in the next hour. He and I both know that this won't end so soon. "I told her and she nodded her head

We both drifted to sleep and next morning got up early.
As today is my birthday we all will go to temple. We do when it's someone's birthday.
I got ready in a pink churidar and used little lip balm on my lips.
I covered my head and face with the stole only and my eyes are visible now. It's because of that kalpit. So he won't recognize me.
We all left for the temple and decided to walk as it was near our orphanage.
After reaching there we did puja and I took extra packets of prasad to distribute among Poor people and kids here. And other visitors as well.
"Amma you take others back I will come with Pakhi after distributing these.." I told her and she nodded after she left we started our work
"Pakhi I forgot to put money in the donation box please do it on my behalf. I'm feeling too lazy to go upstairs again." I told her and she rolled her eyes at me
"you won't change will you? As it's your birthday today I'm letting it go." She said and I smiled sheepishly . She again went upstairs and I started to distribute sweets when suddenly someone bumped with me hard and the packet fell from my hand.
"What the hell?" I screamed in anger
I turned to see a man in a hoodie and mask.
"can't you see? It's a temple not a place to jog around" I told him but he didn't say a single word but kept looking at me silently..
"are you mute?" I asked him but he didn't reacted
Oh shit! Maybe he is really mute that's why he didn't replied
"see I'm sorry for screaming but it's your fault right? You should not be jogging around the temple and get bumped with people. See all the prasad fall down." I told him and picked up the ruined packet
I will give to the street dogs they will hear why wasting it by throwing it in the dustbin.
I got up and turned to find him still standing there looking at me weird!
"Di I'm done." Pakhi said coming down from the stairs
"Let's go then." I told her
"Wait, do you have prasad left in that box?" I asked her
"Yes why?" she replied
"give me." I told her and she give it to me
I took out one sweet and forward it towards the stranger who is still staring at me silently
"Here take this! Today is my birthday so I am giving prasad to everyone." I told him and he forwarded his hand to take it
As he took it I smiled at him but he can't see me stupid me.
"Let's go Pakhi!" I told her and left from the temple
"what happened there?" she asked me
"nothing serious." I told her and she let it go
"by the way where is your surprise gift?" I asked her
"it's coming.." she said and smirked
"Does it have legs that it's coming by itself?" I asked her sarcastically
"Maybe it has legs, hands, and a face as well?" she replied and I rolled my eyes at her
We reached the area of our orphanage soon.
"Di kalpit is here," Pakhi said and I looked at him
What the hell is he doing here? And thank God amma and kids are not with us.
