Lazy Day(s) (Demyx x reader)

a final goodbye

Your heart quickened it's pace, as it felt like time had stopped. Demyx was really here, standing infront of you like he had many times before.
You felt them before they came, tears.
They trickled down your cheeks as demyx wrapped you in a hug.
"Y/n..." he whispered as you hugged back. And he traced his thumb up your face and wiped your tears.

"What are you doing here?" You asked suddenly as he let go and scratched the back of his head.
"Well you see.... I had to... erm... i had to deal with the meanies over at the organization... for flaking on my missions..." he began and leaned against the railing staring off towards the moon, as a gently cool breeze blew through his hair.

How is he here...

"So... you finished your job then? Is that why you're here?" You asked and he tensed as you stood next to him, staring towards the moon as well.

"Well not exactly. I'm not supposed to be here but I had to make sure you were ok..." he admitted and looked down. You glanced at him as he pushed off of the railing and faced the station.

"This place really is amazing isn't it? I feel so calm here." He admitted not taking his eyes off of the tower. You glanced up at it and nodded.
"Yeah... we have fun here."
"We?" Demyx asked.

You nodded once more and took a deep breath.
"We. My friends and I. We used to hang out up there untill I almost fell one day. Then we started hanging out down here." You explained and demyx nodded before looking down at his shoes.
"Hard to believe.... I only met you recently and I have you all wrapped up in this. You don't belong in my problems... that's the real reason I came here y/n..." he bit his lip not making eye contact.

"What?" You asked. And he began walking towards the center of station heights.
"I came to say goodbye... I didn't get to the other day... before axel took you." He clenched his fist and sighed.
".demyx...." You began and he shook his head.
"I can't let you pay for my problems anymore y/n. Live a normal life. Pretend I don't even exist... please." He begged befkre running through a portal and closing it before you could enter.

"Demyx.... no..." You cried the tears coming back as you dropped to the ground. Strangely this all felt f amilliar to you, llke you felt this pain before.
You clenched your fists and wiped your tears with your free hand as hayner came rushing back up to where you keeled on the ground.

"Y/n??? Did that man hurt you?"
