| Alcohol | Kaeya X reader

It's always interesting to watch the Knights train when they have the time too. Specifically a raven haired one with an eye patch. You weren't part of the Knights but you do have a vision. Let's just say you were similar to Diluc when it comes to protecting Mondstadt except he does it at night while you do it in the morning.  Getting off topic, you and Kaeya often hang out alot together when he have the time. Today however, is your birthday. He specifically wanted to celebrate it at the tavern later in the day. Most likely to get drunk. You didn't oblige the request.

It was about evening now, Kaeya have already finish his training and some small commissions. You both were walking peacefully to the tavern. "Now it's time for you to get a taste of alcohol. It's about time you reach the age of drinking." Kaeya said teasing you a bit. He knew that even if you were at the age of drinking, you wouldn't drink carelessly. Actually scratch that, he knew you won't drink alcohol at all. You giggled in response to his remark. "You know how I despise the taste of alcohol." You replied to him. "You're just like Diluc." He said and shook his head.

As you both were about to reach the tavern, someone called out Kaeya's name. "Sir! We need your assistance." You both turn around and notice Huffman running towards the two of you. "What is the problem that you, a knight, can't solve?" Kaeya said slightly paranoid. "Sorry sir, but it's a bit of an emergency something we can't do on our own." Huffman said. Kaeya sighed and nodded his head. "(Y/N), wait for me in the tavern. I'll be there once this is finish." Kaeya told you and patted your head. You nodded and slowly watch him walk away with Huffman. You sighed and started walking towards the tavern. You opened the door to see it not as noisy as it usually was. "Oh? What are you doing here?" You looked up to see Diluc. "It's not likely for you to come here and drink alcohol." Diluc continued. You just sighed and walked towards the counter and sat on the chair. "I know it's not normal for me to come here but Kaeya wanted to celebrate my birthday here today." You told Diluc. He nodded your head while he was whipping up something for you.

He placed a glass in front of you. You took the glass and sniff it hoping it wasn't alcohol, it was just grape juice. "I'm not like Kaeya who would try and sneak some wine into your drink okay?" Diluc said with a stern voice. You just chuckled at his words. Kaeya never told you everything about his relation with Diluc but he does tell you some small tales about it. "So where is that man?" Diluc started again. He knew that you were shy but not a complete introvert. You are like middle of introvert and extrovert. "He got called by the Knights to do something which was an emergency." You told him hoping that Kaeya doesn't take too long.

It's been an hour already and Kaeya have not return. You have been drinking multiple glasses of grape juice and slowly got tired of the taste. Kaeya for sure is going to look at a long bill full of grape juices. Diluc decided to leave you to yourself. More customers were coming so he had to attend to them as well. Diluc knew Kaeya wasn't that stupid to leave someone like you here in the tavern waiting. Another hour passed and still no Kaeya. You sighed as you look at the clock in the tavern. Your stomach started growling indicating that you need food. "Hungry?" Diluc asks. You nodded your head shyly because he heard your stomach grumble. "Anything specific that you want?" You thought for a bit."Some Matsutake meat rolls please." Diluc nodded. "Is that all?" You were quiet for abit and Diluc take that as a yes so he started preparing the materials needed to make your meal.

"And a dandelion wine, please."

Diluc nearly choked on himself when you said that. He never thought you would consider wine. Before he could ask you why he notice the state you were in. Kaeya is late. He couldn't tell you no so he just nodded his head and started preparing your food. Once he was done he placed your food and the glass of wine in front of you. You thanked him and started eating. You hesitated on drinking the wine so you stick to eating your food first. You took your time to eat since Kaeya isn't here yet. Maybe if you eat slow then he would come and have some? But even after you ate, he wasn't here. Was it really such an emergency that it had to take up 2 and a half hours? You looked at your glass of wine and took it. Placing it near your mouth to drink it down. The taste stinged you a little but it wasn't too bad. Now you understand how people said that dandelion wine was delicious. You can't lie. It is very good. You chugged the whole glass down and requested for another one. Diluc hesitated a little but just made another for you. Kaeya was the one responsible for this not him he thought.

After a couple of glasses of dandelion wine later, Kaeya finally showed up to see you knocked out at the counter with a blanket on you. There was nobody in the tavern except you and Diluc. "Took you long enough." Diluc said with a bit of a tone. Kaeya just shrugged and walk towards you. He noticed you were asleep. He felt guilty for leaving and coming back hours later. It was midnight by now and your birthday is already over. "(Y/N) had a couple of.." Diluc said. Kaeya turned to Diluc to let him finish his sentence.

"a couple of glasses of wine."

Kaeya was shook. You drinking alcohol? Now he felt really bad for leaving you hanging like that. Kaeya knew he couldn't blame you and he decided to pay the bill for you no matter the price. Diluc just shrugged it off. "I'll let you of the hook for now. Just get (Y/N) home safe and sound." Diluc said and started cleaning up to close the tavern. Kaeya just chuckled at his brother and place his hands under your knees and on your back. He picked you up bridal style and left the tavern bringing you home. Once he reached your house, he unlocked it and brought you to your room.

The next morning, you woke up with a terrible headache. You tried going back to sleep to let the pain slide but it was too painful to let you fall asleep. You slowly got up from bed and headed to the bathroom to wash up. Once you were done, you noticed a smell that was catching your attention. Who is here? You slowly walked out of your room and looked around the house to find the source of that smell. You went to the kitchen and noticed Kaeya stirring up something for you. He turned around and noticed you. "Oh (Y/N), you're awake." He stop what he was doing and  walked towards you. "My head hurts." You told him. "Do you remember anything from yesterday?" Kaeya ask. That brings up a good question. What did you do yesterday? Oh yea, you were at the tavern and you drank wine. Something you didn't want to do. "I'm sorry for yesterday. I know I said that I would come over as soon as possible but the big emergency however was something that even needed Jean for assistance. I truly apologize." Kaeya explained his delay yesterday. If the emergency needed the Acting Grand Master for sure it must have been something big. You can't stay angry or disappointed at him since it wasn't his fault and you weren't in the mood to be angry.

"It's alright. I forgive you okay?" You told him hugging him. You notice a small blush on his cheeks and giggled. "I never knew the great smug Kaeya could be flustered from a hug." You tease him. "Oh, I wonder how flustered you would be on the bed." Kaeya teased back. You giggled and punched him playfully. "You're disgusting." You said as you let go of him and started walking towards the counter. You got stopped in your tracks by Kaeya who hugged you from behind. "You're not going anywhere until I get to fill the time that we wasted yesterday." Kaeya said. "We can aft-" You got stopped by Kaeya nuzzling on your neck. He slowly started pulling you away from the kitchen. "Kaeya wait." You tried stopping him. "Come on now, don't tell me you don't want it." Kaeya said. He picked you up and started bringing you to your bedroom. "Kaeya!" You shouted right before you both entered the room. "What is it?" Kaeya asks confused.

"What were you doing in the kitchen?"

Silence fell in the house until the smell of smoke was present in the air.

"Kaeya!!!"
