| Secret | Albedo x reader

You were one of the alchemist students alongside Sucrose and Timaeus. You and your groupmates get along really well. The three of you have a lot of similarities together as well such as looking up to your teacher. Who is that teacher you ask? Well there is only one person in the whole of Mondstadt that is a genius in alchemy. Albedo, a very calm young man that doesn't really give any interest when nothing catches his fancy. You really looked up to him a lot.

You were on your way to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. You left pretty early to get a headstart on your latest experiment that you started. What you didn't expect was to see Albedo there up and early with Klee sleeping a the sofa nearby. Albedo always talks to you about Klee. He really took her as his younger sister and it was really adorable. "Good morning, (Y/N)." Albedo said without turning his head away from the experiment he was doing. You wished him back and headed to your work table to get started.

After about an hour, Sucrose and Timaeus were going to arrive soon probably. You were about done with your experiment when Albedo called you. "I hope it isn't too much to ask, but would you like to accompany me to Dragonspine for one of my latest experiments?" Albedo ask. It wasn't very often Albedo would ask you, Sucrose or Timaeus to follow him to Dragonspine. You agreed on following him. "Alright then, we leave when Sucrose and Timaeus arrives." Albedo said and headed back to his working table.

Once the two arrived, you were ready to leave for Dragonspine. Albedo informed Sucrose to take care of Klee when he's gone. Wouldn't want Klee to get hurt now although you're very sure she's even stronger than you to begin with.(you can be stronger than her too if you want) Klee gave a hug to both you and Albedo before you both left and telling us to be careful. The journey to Dragonspine from Mondstadt was a bit of a walk but didn't take too long. Once you both arrive at Dragonspine, Albedo took lead to bring the both of you to his lab in the cave.

There was a very steep part of the pathway that you both need to climb on. Seems like Albedo wasn't having any trouble with it but you on the other hand is having trouble. This usually wasn't very difficult for you but somehow today was different. You took a wrong step and slipped on the snow. A hand quickly grabbing yours to prevent you from falling. "Are you okay?" Albedo ask while helping you up. You nodded your head and apologized to him. "There's nothing to apologize for. I should be the one apologizing for requesting you to follow me." Albedo continued. You told him that it was okay since you did want to follow him. Albedo then held your hand to prevent you from falling. His hand was really nice to hold. It was warm and both your hands fit perfectly together.

After getting up the steel pathways and crossing over the broken bridge, you both arrived at the cave. "So what is this experiment that you were making that needs my assistance?" You ask Albedo feeling the warmth from the fire place. "Nothing much. Just wanted some company that's all." Albedo replied as he prepared whatever he needed for his experiment. You don't come here often so you decided to look around the caved laboratory that Albedo made. There book shelves at both sides of the cave, two desks opposite of each other and also an easel(the painting stand for the canvas if some of you don't know) further back in the cave. "(Y/N), can you come here and try this." Albedo requested. You came over to see what Albedo wanted you to try. It was some liquid(it could be a prototype of the drink that traveller drank during the Dragonspine event if you want to think it that way).

You look at the flask skeptically. Is this okay to drink? Seems like Albedo noticed your stress at drinking the bottle. "Don't worry. I'll be responsible for whatever happens to you. We can split the liquid in half." Albedo suggested. You nodded. Albedo then went to find another flask for him to pour half of the liquid. Both of you then drank the liquid. There was a slight burning feeling that you can feel. The liquid wasn't very delicious either. "What was the liquid anyways?" You ask Albedo who was slightly disgusted by the taste. "I'm trying to make a liquid to withstand the cold." Albedo replied. So that was why there was a burning effect. "Shall we see if it worked?" Albedo continued.

You both went walking out of the lab for some time. You didn't felt as cold as you did when you first entered Dragonspine. Seems the liquid that Albedo made was working. Though you did feel your head spinning. Could this be a side effect? "Yar!" The sound brought you back to your senses. "Hilichurl camp. Let's take it down shall we." Albedo said. You nodded and brought out your (W/T). Albedo too brought out his sword. You both dealt with the hilichurl camp that is now empty. Your head was spinning even more now making you going to pass out. "We should head back to the la- (Y/N)! (Y/N)!" All you heard was Albedo speaking before passing out.

You work up feeling warmth. There was something on your shoulder warming you alongside the fire. "You're finally awake." Albedo said as he came rushing to you. He felt your forehead for any fever but there wasn't. He also felt your hands hoping that you were warm. "I'm glad your okay. I should have informed you about what was inside that liquid." Albedo said to you as he looked down guiltily. You held one of his hand and shook your head reassuring him that it's okay. There was a silence for a bit. Both enjoying each others presence. "So what was inside the liquid?" You decided to ask. Albedo hesitated for a bit. He told you what was in the liquid and now you knew why you passed out. One of those ingredients he used was something that you couldn't eat/drink. You were allergic to it.(You can choose whatever your allergic to) "I'm sorry." Albedo apologized and looked down in guilt. You felt bad that Albedo felt guilty, if you found out about what was in it then all of this could be avoided. One thing still questioned your mind. How did he know that you were allergic to that ingredient?

You and Albedo sat beside each other keeping each other warm even if there is fire doing it. You manage to reassure Albedo that he wasn't fully in fault. You both were comfortable as the way you both are sitting now. Albedo leaning on your shoulder asleep while you decided to read on one of the books that Albedo had in this cave. Albedo actually gave you this book to read. What Albedo didn't know was that what he gave you to read held a secret he did not want to reveal.

"Seeing (Y/N) smiles really makes me happy especially if I'm the one that makes him/her smile."

"Would one day I find the courage to maybe make him/her mine?"

There were some more in there but you decided to close the book instead. You were glad that Albedo was asleep but if he woke up to see your red blushing face, you would die(probably not). Although this book was his journal about his experiments, he still wrote some sweet things about you in most entries. You felt the same way as he does but you never knew since Albedo always had his neutral expression towards everything.

"Oh Albedo, I think I am already yours."

Albedoxreader done! I did this for my birthday but it's way passed it already. I hope you guys enjoyed this. Is the ending a bit rushed? I'll do my best to update as much as I can although I keep doing other things that brings me away from thinking of ideas to write :')
