I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!

It has been a month since the victory over the Romanians and my one-year anniversary of being with the Volturi was to come soon.

My mates told me there would be a surprise for me soon, and as much as I hate surprises, I didn't mind this one. They always seemed to surprise me, anyway.

Earlier today, they told me they would be taking me out to a nearby mountain to just relax and have a nightly meal. There is no doubt in my mind that this is where my surprise will reveal itself, and I couldn't wait.

After being told the news, I had rushed to my room and opened my wardrobe to take out a nice, red dress with a white collar that stops right above the knee. It was absolutely gorgeous, and to compliment it, I took white heels out of the wardrobe as well. Together, the two complimented my look.

I was currently sitting on the dress against my dresser where I am combing my hair with a comb and with my fingers. I had decided to put my hair up into a bun tonight with some strands of hair framing my face. I also had put a snowflake patterned hairclip onto my dresser for after. After finishing putting my light-blonde hair into a bun, I put up the hairclip and clip it into the right side of my hair.

"Hello, Lady Amity." Heidi greets me as she opens my bedroom door. "The masters have asked me to see if you require my assistance. You look lovely, by the way."

I smile at her. "Thank you, Heidi. You don't look so bad yourself." I look at my makeup bag. "Heidi, you're much better at makeup than I am, do you mind putting on my makeup?"

Her face gleams. "Of course not! I would love to!"

Heidi grabs my makeup bag and takes out the primer, foundation, concealer, powder, red lipstick, black mascara, and grey eyeshadow. "Look at me please."

I turn towards her and she begins to put my makeup on. Thirty minutes later, I was all done and I pick up my white purse from beside the dresser.

"I'm ready to go." I tell her.

She opens the door. "Great! They've been waiting to see you. They can't wait to take you out."

If I could blush, I would. "I can't wait to get out of these castle walls by just myself and a few guards again."

She nods. "I understand. Your mates are just on guard right now. They'll come around eventually. But hey! Don't stress over that. You're going out tonight."

I nod in response.

We make it to the lobby where my mates are standing patiently with their hands folded.

"Amity!" Aro calls. He walks up to me and grabs my hand and kisses it. "You look lovely, dear."

"Absolutely stunning." Caius says.

"Like the most brightest star." Marcus compliments.

I smile widely. "You all are too much."

"Anything for you, my dear." Aro kisses my cheek before turning towards Heidi. "Heidi, you are free to go. Thank you for fetching her."

"Thank you, master."

Heidi walks out of the room and I look at Caius when I hear him talk.

"Ready to go, mi amore?" Caius hands out his hand for me to take.

I place my hand in his. "Certainly."

Thirty minutes later, we arrived at our destination. The mountain was gorgeous and, on the top, I could see that a preparation for this very night was made. Candles gleam from the top of the mountain, causing a slight waterfall of light cascading down the mountain. It was absolutely beautiful.
