Mary arrived at the hotel that Kevin asked her to go to and they met up in the lobby. He explained the synopsis of his film and gave her a short script. He then explained that they were going to film one of the scenes on the roof and he wanted to film that one first before the hotel turned off the lights in the rooftop lounge area. They made it to the elevator but Kevin said he forgot the camera's battery and that he would grab it from his car and meet Mary on the rooftop. Mary entered the elevator and headed to the rooftop. When the elevator reached the top, the doors opened and she was presented with a familiar sight; a beautifully lit rooftop and a trail of rose petals on the floor. She followed the trail of rose petals and at the end of it was Namjoon in a navy blue suit with a white shirt and black heeled boots.

"Namjoon, what is going on?" she asked him with her eyes narrowed.

"Please Mary," Namjoon said, "have a seat."

He pulled out a chair from a two seater table that had a rose and metal cooler with a bottle of apple cider in the middle. Mary sat down and realized what was going on.

"I know you're trying to recreate the day you gave me the bracelet."

"Gianna told me you're very strict about not drinking yet and suggested this," he said.

He poured her a glass of apple cider.

"Joon, cut the act, I'm not in the mood or in the right headspace for this right now."

He ignored her remarks and continued.

"I'm sorry that I can't recreate the exact same night with the bracelets but I still have a gift for you" he said.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring box he had shown her on Christmas and opened it to reveal the same silver diamond ring from that night.

"Mary, I'm deeply sorry for not having taken your feelings into consideration when I was thinking about my injury and coming here. You're right, it was very selfish of me. I put this together in the hopes that I could show that I promise to devote myself to your wellbeing and for our relationship to thrive."

He got down on one knee, still holding the ring box.

"Can we please put this behind us and move ahead in our relationship, together?"

Mary looked at him and tears began to form in her eyes. She was remembering how she felt the night they opened the bracelets along with how happy she felt to see the promise ring on Christmas.

"Namjoon, please stand up," she requested of him.

Namjoon stood up and Mary stood up too. She reached into her dress' pocket and pulled out a ring box of her own. She opened it and inside was a simple yet elegant silver ring for a man.

"I got this shortly after New Year's and planned to give it to you before coming back here to America but then you know what happened. Ever since then, I've carried it around with me thinking about you and how much I wish I could've given you my promise ring."

They looked into one another's eyes before Namjoon spoke again.

"I accept your promise ring Mary as long as you also accept mine."

Mary giggled.

"Of course I accept your ring you dummy."

They placed the rings on each other's ring fingers before embracing and kissing each other. In the silence of their embrace, Mary was able to listen to the music playing in the background and it was the same jazz song they danced to the first night they spent together. Namjoon offered her to dance and they stepped away from the table to sway to the jazz music. Just like that night, she rested her head on his chest and smelled his cologne. When the song ended, they pulled back to hold hands.

"Saranghae Mary."

Mary tapped her bracelet three times before speaking to him.

"Nado saranghae Namjoon."

They then walked to the elevator so Mary could leave Namjoon in his room before they kissed and said goodnight to one another.

The next morning, Namjoon called Mary and let her know that unfortunately he had to go back to Korea because he had suspended work to fix their relationship. Mary understood his situation and let him go back home. Everything went back to normal for both of them after that.

*Time skip ahead about a month*

Ever since Mary and Namjoon had fixed their relationship and were open with their feelings, things started to pick up in their lives. Namjoon's performance on stage was enthusiastic and energetic once again. The fans felt his change of energy and enjoyed his comeback even more than they already were. The other members noticed his increased mood as well and congratulated him for his promise ring.

Mary was also having a blast in her university. She was going through her classes no problem and passing the semester without any issues. People began to respect her privacy and treated her as a normal person and she was no longer approached for being "Namjoon's soulmate" but rather for simply being Mary. Kevin and Mary reconnected after they hadn't talked for a long time and she was greatly thankful to him for helping out when her and Namjoon had a bump in the road.

The bracelets were constantly used once again. They tapped each other very often and never missed a response. It was just like after the tour but better and stronger. It really did seem like they had finally overcome all of their obstacles.
