Harry's POV
After about a week of convincing Zayn to go and building up his courage, he finally agrees and let's us drag him to the therapy session, with Bailey of course.

While he's gone for the two hours of his appointment, I finally have time away from him to plan his birthday present. Because he would probably kill me if I spent money on him, I decide to make something homemade. Considering that my crafting skills aren't that great, I'm going to have to keep it simple.

I think about this as I drive home after dropping Zayn off at his appointment. When I arrive home, mum is waiting for me to arrive.

"Hi love, how are you?" She asks as she pulls me in for a hug. Even though I'm much taller than her, she holds me like I'm still a baby. It's quite nice actually. Sometimes I just want to go back to being small and cute. Now I'm too big and my limbs are way too long.

"I'm good mum, thanks," I say, rather distracted by the ideas looming through my head.

"How's Zayn?" Although there was a period of time where she disliked him because of what she did, she definitely came around and now even asks about him. I remember coming home from the hospital just to find out that my own mum was talking bad about him to Gemma on the phone. To say that I was hurt would be an understatement, but again, getting shot is no light subject.

"I think he's doing better, he finally agreed to go to therapy, he's there now actually," I say with a smile, glad that I'm finally able to talk about the positives rather than why he's not doing well. "He's still really frustrated with the stutter though."

My mum only sighs and rubs my back, trying to comfort me as I remember how much he's really struggling. "Well send him my best wishes for me, he really doesn't deserve anything that life has thrown at him."

She's always had such a big heart and cared for other people so much. I like to think it's the reason why I've achieved so much in life. Without her kindness rubbing off on me, I have no clue where I would be right now.

"His birthday is coming up." I cut through the silence between us, hoping that she can help me. "I don't know what to get him because he doesn't like it when people buy things for him," I shrug, feeling a bit discouraged.

"Let's think of something together, yeah?"

For the next half hour or so, we went through every possible thing that he may want. Just as we thought we would have no luck with our efforts, mum thinks of something that could be the perfect gift for him.

Matching necklaces with lego pieces for the two of us, forming a heart. She claims that she saw it on Instagram once and fell in love with it.

After showing me the picture, we went to work and dug through the copious bins of legos stored in the attic. While doing so, we talked about the past and she told me stories from when I was young. We also discussed the future and what I wanted. Although I have no clue what I want to do, I know that there will always be one constant in my life: Zayn.

Once we collected the pieces that we need-although there were only two, they were still surprisingly difficult to find-we rummage through a craft bin where we find two chains to attach the legos to.

The finished product was better than I expected. It was absolutely perfect for Zayn. We also finished just in time, because the appointment was about to end, giving me enough time to drive there and pick him up.

Zayn's POV

"Thank you for doing this Zaynie, you have no clue how proud I am of you," Harry smiled, leaning over the seat to give me a kiss before I leave.
