Zayn's POV
"Zayn, get your ass down here!" My eyes shot open as I realized Harry was not next to me, but his melodic voice was yelling from downstairs. How could he be so graceful yet so annoying?

I huffed as I considered getting out of bed, but decided against it and buried myself deeper into the sheets.

After my eyes had grown heavy once again and I fell into a peaceful sleep, I was rudely awoken yet again by Harry. "Zaynie, wake up!" He called once again from downstairs.

Actively ignoring him, I knew that he would just come up here and have to pull me out. I smiled to myself and let my head drop once again, but I didn't fall asleep. Waiting for Harry to inevitably come back to bed and cuddle me, I noticed how much my room had changed from when I first moved in. Before, I only had a couple of items but now, the floor was littered with clothes and on the walls were posters and paintings that Harry had insisted on buying at some point of him staying with us. I'm not sure I could stand to live in a room that was as empty as mine was before.

Footsteps that began softly quickly grew louder until I could see the clumsy legs that were causing them. Sometimes it amazes me how Harry can be so lean and graceful but other times he can be like a baby giraffe. It's absolutely adorable and it makes me want to squish his cheeks and cuddle him up in a warm blanket.

As he stood by the bed where I was laying, I dragged him in so that he was practically on top of me and I could finally cuddle him.

He immediately scrambled to lessen the weight on me but he failed and fell back onto the bed with a soft thump. I hate how much he tries to protect me, it's not like I'll break at any second.

"Haz, can you cuddle me," I whined as he stood up.

"But I had something fun planned," he pouted. I reached my hand out and ghosted over his lips to lessen the pout which caused a smile to trickle onto his face and form the beautiful dimples that framed his cheeks so wonderfully.

"What were you thinking?"

"Well, since Christmas is coming up, I was thinking we could decorate a tree," his voice raised as he grinned from ear to ear just at the thought of Christmas.

I considered it for a moment, but it would just hurt too much. The whole month of December is already too hard to deal with when I avoid all Christmas related things, but actually decorating a tree would bring back too many memories.

"I don't know..." My voice trailed off as I refused eye contact with him.

"Please," he batted his eyelashes and stuck out his bottom lip while clasping his hands together. When he saw that I wasn't giving in, he sighed. "Come on Zayn, the boys and Chris are already downstairs and I even picked a tree out for us."

Although I would rather do anything else, I give in to his look of defeat and huff as I lift the covers off of me and demand for Harry to pick me up.

When he carries me off the bed and all the way down the stairs, I notice that all the boys are sitting on the couch and eating cookies.

"Took you long enough mate," Niall said as crumbs tumbled out of his mouth.

Chris chuckled as he sipped from his mug. "Did you sleep well?"

I nodded quickly and sat down besides the boys who were already deep into conversation. From what I could pick up, they were saying something about dick eggs. As I removed myself from the conversation as quickly as possible, I notice Harry and Chris discussing something quietly.

"Watcha talking about?" I ask as I inch closer to the both of them.

Harry immediately turns away from Chris and mumbles a quick "nothing" before busying himself with the tree. I let it go as I watched him rummage through a box of ornaments and hand one to each of the boys. I stayed on the couch, watching from afar until he motioned me over.

"I'm not decorating the tree," I groaned.

"Yes you are Zee. You're even going to put the first ornament on." He smiled to himself and grabbed a shiny red bulb reaching it out for me to take.

"Can't I just watch," I groaned.

"Please Zaynie, can you do this for me?" I so badly wanted to refuse until he just lets it go but when I saw the hurt in his eyes, I gave in and grabbed the ornament, hooking it around one of the branches of the tree.

The rest of the lads went on with ornamenting the tree without a second thought but Harry stood back and gave me a wide smile before wrapping his arms around me.

"I know you don't like Christmas but thank you for doing this for me," he mumbled into my shoulder.

Hearing that he's happy makes me happy. He deserves way better than me but if he's not going to give up, I might as well give him what he's worth. I know it's a lot, especially coming from me but it's the least I could do for such an amazing person.

Strolling over to the box of ornaments, I pluck out an emerald green one that reminds me of his eyes and hook it onto the tree.

We spend the next hour or so listening to music and littering the tree with pretty colors and tinsel. By the time we've finished, we're all exhausted so Chris fixes all of us hot chocolate and puts in a movie.

Home Alone had always been my favorite as a kid, I always thought it was so funny and outrageous that his own parents could forget him at home. Now the concept is a bit iffy to me but the nostalgia of it still calms me. If I shut my eyes, I can almost feel my mum holding me close to her.

"I had a lot of fun today," I whisper into Harry's ear, "Thank you."

He doesn't respond, only kisses my head and holds me closer to him.

"I'm happy you ha-"

Harry was cut off by the ringing of my phone. I quickly scramble to get up and fish my phone out of my pocket.

Emma's name lit up the screen as I realized I had completely forgotten.

"Oh my gosh Emma, I'm so sorry, I don't know how I forgot I-"

"It's fine Zayn, I just wanted to make sure you're doing ok."

"Yeah, I think I'm doing good." A smile lingered on my face as a certain curly haired boy flashed through my mind.

"I'm really happy to hear that Zee," I could practically her smile through the phone. It felt good to feel a little ok for once. "So I didn't know if you would mind if I visited again for Christmas."

"Yes, you should definitely come," I said eagerly.

"Ok, I'll come back," she chuckled, "I probably won't be able to get there until Christmas Eve though."

"That's fine, just as long as you're here." At that moment, Harry peeked across the corner. I fondly smiled when I saw his adorable bleary eyes. "Emma, I have to go but I'll talk to you later."

"Take care of yourself Zaynie."

We said our goodbyes and then I returned my attention back to Harry.

"I love you Zee."
