Shadis finished telling armin off and dashed forward to were the front of the pack were, which was obviously ace. Thanks to aces super hearing, he heard everything shadis said, he then slowly started to lag back so he can be next to armin.

Armin: "damn"

Ace/reiner: "Give it to me"

Both males looked at each other with shocked expressions. Ace was the first one to break the silence

Ace: "Mop top, you're going to fail at this rate, they are grading us today, so pick up the pace"

Ace and reiner started to head through all the other cadets, and making their way to first and second place. Easily beating 30+ cadets
