cassandracas1 People always say less is more and in this case, it worked. Sometimes simplicity works. It wasn't over the top and too in your face. The fonts were very pleasing as the colour was red which depicts the whole Christmas theme and aspect but the little bow and holly at the top made it more evident. Then comes the Santa Claus hat that seems to be hanging from a wall with blood splatter on it. That sealed it for me. That made a statement that can be understood by all. You know there's a murder involved and I think that was the sole purpose of the cover. It did its job. I must say I loved it and well done.

FionaCakes91 This cover spoke volumes to me. Even though it was so simple, it articulated the genre of the story flawlessly. I must applaud the writer/designer for crafting such an admirable book cover. The fonts were legible and I appreciated the simplicity and layout of the design. Let's talk about the bloodied Santa's hat, that was the first thing that caught my eyes, I don't know about the next person, but I never liked this Santa guy, he squeezes his fat ass down people's chimneys, eats their cookies and drinks their milk just so he can either leave the kids a lump of coal or a few gifts beneath the Christmas tree. It doesn't get creepier than that. This cover clearly affirmed there was a murder and it more than piqued my interest, so it left me with an entire list of crazy questions, Who died? Why were they killed? Did Santa do it? LMAO! Well done. I loved it.
