Chapter Sixteen: Positive

"What happened?" Mrs. Ferrer asks as she reached the place where Scarlett is crying endlessly.

"Mom I'm so sorry, I'm not a a criminal." Paulit-ulit nitong saad.

Agad na bumaba ang paningin ni Mrs. Ferrer sa kaniyang anak. Jax is crying too.

"What happened Jax?" Tanong ulit nito na nagbabakasakaling masagot.

"No one would answer me? Scarlett speak up!" Naiinis na nitong saad. Agad siyang pinakalma ng kaniyang asawa.

"Rebecca, calm down."

"How can I John? Scarlett is crying, Jax too. We are in a hospital. I don't understand them!" Bumangon ang ulo ni Scarlett at nag mamakaawang tumingin kay Mrs. Ferrer.

"I-I accidentally stab Mia." Nauutal niyang saad.

Agad na bumukha ang mata ni Mrs. Ferrer at di makapaniwalang bumaba ang mata sa kamay nito.

"You did? Who's Mia? Oh my God John, Scarlett stab someone!" Mrs. Ferrer hesterically said.

"Calm down, Rebecca." Anito at sabay harap kay Scarlett.

"Scarlett, who is Mia? Why did you stab her?" Kalmado niyang saad.

Umiling si Scarlett.

"She is Jax's other woman dad." Sumbong niya rito. Doon natauhan si Jax at marahas na bumaling sa dalaga.

"What? Jax doesn't have other woman Scarlett! Huwag mong pagbintangan ang anak ko!" Ani Mrs. Ferrer na namumula ang mukha.

"Mommy it's true! Remember I was gone for more than a week? It's because I have found out that Jax has a mistress. When I came back I found out who is it. She's Mia, a girl working from a bar. J-jax... Jax let her work in our house so that they can easily see each other! You can asks Jax yourself mom!" Umiiyak na saad ni Scarlett.

Namumula ang mata na bumaling si Mrs. Ferrer sa anak.

"It's this true Jax?" Nagbabanta ang boses niya.

Akmang sasagot na sana si Jax ng lumabas ang doctor na nagasikaso kay Mia.

"Who's her husband?" Tanong nito, agad na nagsitinginan ang mag-asawa.

"I-I'm her boyfriend." Mrs. Ferrer gasped. Tila mahihimatay ito sa narinig mula sa anak.

"The patient is now stable sir. Her wound is now treated. Hindi naman malalim ang sugat pero delikado ang pagdugo nito. Fortunately your baby is safe. Congratulations sir."

Tila nabingi si Jax sa narinig.

Ano daw?

"What did you just say doc?" Tanong ni Mr. Ferrer.

"Well, no one knows it? Even you sir?" Tanong ng doctor kay Jax. Jax immediately shook his head.

"Well, the patient is two weeks pregnant. Congratulations." Bati ulit ng doctor. Tila nabuhusan ng malamig na tubig si Jax.

Mia is pregnant.

Mia is pregnant with his child.

Agad na tumulo ang luha sa mga mata niya.

He will be a dad soon.

His love is pregnant.

"The patient is still asleep. I cannot tell when she will wake up. In the mean time, please excuse me." Paalam ng doctor.
