The warm rays of sunlight hit my skin, making me lean my head back to soak it up...It was only around eight in the morning so we went to the small park-like playground for children in the back of the church with a picnic blanket and we set it up in front of the two trees that began apart and came up like an archway, where their branches connected together and created one gigantic tree... It was really beautiful, but a freak of nature....Like me.

Skeppy had gone inside to get us some muffins for breakfast while I sat in the sun, happily waiting.

Bu bum...Bu Bum. Bu Bum.

I sat back up, hearing a heartbeat echoing but I realized that I no longer sat on the blanket.

"It worked." A woman's voice said from behind me. Making me turn to see the woman I had seen in the hallway. This time however she looked slightly more roughed up.

She wore a dark red crimson jacket, a black shirt, some black jeans and leather boots that looked scratched up. She had bruises and cuts on the skin I could see and her hair was now pulled back in a ponytail.

"What is this dream?" I laughed out...But she punched me in the stomach, making me double over in pain...Wow that was painful.

When I slowly stood back up I realized my skin was pitch black...What in the-

"Hell." She spoke, making me look up at her.

"Language." I let out, watching her in disbelief.

"I don't have much time to explain. I made you a demon child after your car wreck...Then I took you to the priest to protect you and never let you find out...But The gates of hell are being opened one by one...And you're no longer safe."

As if she wanted me to understand she met my eyes, but before I heard her next words I was startled awake by someone playing something on top of my head...I yawned and cracked my eyes open to see Skeppy smiling, a plate with muffins before him as he sat criss cross in front of me.

Pft, what a silly dream.

"You look quite pretty when you wake up..." He said, voice full of teasing. "What happens later in the day?"

I rolled my eyes and kicked him lightly, making him laugh while moving out of the way. We both had gotten dressed earlier but I noticed his blue hoodie looked like the same one he had been wearing in my nightmare.

"You're such a mean dunderhead." I glared at him while he happily ate one of the chocolate muffins. There was a mix of blueberry and chocolate, so I didn't really care.

"You love me." He chirped with a laugh, meeting my eyes.

I rolled my eyes once again and looked away, leaning back against the tree once again.

"I do...But if you keep being mean to me I'm going to ignore you." I spoke without thinking, making him laugh.

"You couldn't ignore me if you tried." He smirked, challenging me...

I shut up and looked away from him....He was right, he was impossible to ignore.

"Bad~" He spoke, voice dropping slightly as he walked on his knees to sit directly in front of me, one hand coming to rest beside my neck on the tree while he leaned closer to my ear.

"Bad...Don't ignore me~ I'm sorry." He cooed softly, making me melt.

I looked at him, instantly regretting it when I realized how close he was....Why did he have such a strong effect on me?

"Move." I said, voice turning very stern and he listened. He leaned back away from me to sit directly in front of me.

"Did I really make you mad?" He said, a pout on his face that made me smile.

"You know I think you're really pretty with that flower crown." He added, which interrupted what I was going to say...

I had forgotten he placed something on my head, and it was indeed a flower crown. It was blue forget-me-not flowers tangled together in a circle, it was tangled in such a way that it held together in a crown like shape.

"Blue looks best on you." I said, smiling while I took it off my hood and placing it in his fluffy black hair.

He tucked his head down slightly as though he was startled by my action but he started smiling when he realized what I said.

"Bad...When do I get to see under your hood? I've seen you naked already." He laughed out, making me choke on air...

"Language! I-...You-..I wasn't..." My cheeks were very hot and I couldn't find the right words.

He was right. He'd seen me yesterday get out of the shower, but he hadn't seen my horns...I wasn't sure what to do...I knew better than to let anyone else see.

"If you didn't have that scar...You'd look even prettier." He struck while I was always shy, making me gulp and smile.

"You're such a dunderhead Skeppy." I laughed while picking up a muffin and sinking my teeth into the very soft, warm, and fluffy texture of the muffin...The explosion of flavor instantly erupted, making me happy.

We sat outside, side by side talking and laughing.

"Do you remember when we met Bad?" Skeppy suddenly asked, making my smile vanish.

I was crying that day...I had cried a lot as a child...Back then it bothered me that I had horns, and that I was different but Skeppy had told me no one was normal...I knew just how different I was, but it bothered me less.

"I do...Why?" I looked over at him, seeing his head was tilted backwards to rest on the tree, eyes closed.

"Can I ask why you accepted my friendship?" He sounded serious, so I had to take time to think...Which left the two of us in an almost calming silence.

"I wasn't going to at first...But for some reason I found comfort in you telling me that no one was normal...I trusted you from then on...Because you treated me like a human...And not just a priest's kid."

Absentmindedly I touched my hood...He'd never lied to me, or hidden things from me...So should I trust him enough to show him? Despite Fathers warnings.

"I trust you too Bad." He let out, turning his head to meet my eyes.

Trust....

"Skeppy...Follow me, I have something to show you." I let out, standing up so that I could help him up.
