Tag Game Pt 1. (10)

"The game will now start."

I look down at the screen.

"Game: Tag"

"Game level: 5 of Spades"

I think that is athletics. I hope for running or something along the line of that.

"Objective: Run away from the tagger and find the safe zone. If you do not find the safe zone within the time limit, a bomb will explode."

"Time limit: 20 minutes."

My eyes widen at the word 'bomb,' but then I calm myself down. Arisu is smart, he will be able to find the safe zone, and I'll help him too! Plus, I've been near bombs before, and this one can't be too different.

I pull Hiroshi's hoodie string, "Let's go to the top floor so we can see everything better," I whisper to him.
"Alright." He nods back to me.

"Two minutes until the game starts."

I run and jump while start pulling myself up each floor. I watch people scattering around the arena as I make it to the 7th floor of the building. I squat on the ledge, allowing me to get down quickly if needed. A ding of the elevator is heard and I snap my head back to see a guy with the white hoodie stepping out of it along with Hiroshi walking out of it. 

Hiroshi sits next to me while the guy with the white hoodie goes on the other side of me and says, "If you could choose a starting position, this would be the best one."

I look at him, then turn away again.
"I guess that's right. You can see everything from here, which makes it even better. That is why I chose this place, at least, but I don't think you did it for that reason." I smirk and turn to him. I sit on my butt and let my legs dangle over the edge, "You chose it so other people can do the work while you wait here. Am I right?" He stares at me silently, "Or you're here for the same reason as I am." I turn back to watch.

Just then, a buff man and a shorter skinny man walk by on the other side—the hoodie guy waves at them, which they ignore.
"What? That's nasty." He says. I look at him weirdly. Then he begins to talk again, "Hmm. Everyone looks like they're about to die, as usual."

"As usual?" I repeat, "Meaning this isn't your first time of these things, I'm guessing?" I stare at him, then turn my attention to the other floors, looking for the tagger. "This guy is so creepy. I don't trust him at all," Hiroshi whispers to me.

I look back at the phone as it dings a few times and then says,

"The game will now commence."

"The tagger is on the move."

Then there are trumpet noises that flood through the halls. I slightly jump from the loud unexpected noise. I hear an elevator open a floor below us and then some slow footsteps. I watch as a girl jumps from one floor to another.

"A climber, how unusual." The hoodie guy says.
"Then you would be calling me unusual too." I retort back to him. I look back down and then hear gunshots. I see a person with a horse mask step out of a hallway.
"A horse mask? Why the hell does the tagger have a horse mask?" I question the man in the white hoodie and shrug his shoulders.

I then hear, "Arisu!" And some gunshots.

"Welp, see you later, I guess. Let's go, Hiroshi," I say as I hop down a level. I keep going down until I see Kurube and Arisu hiding in a slit in the wall.
"Y/n!" Arisu whisper shouts. I wave at them. Then I looked to see a man get hit by a laser. Guess he tried to leave. "Shit, where did Hiroshi go? did he not follow me?" I whisper.
"We gotta search more doors." I whisper again, "I'll go up to the fifth level, and then you guys check this floor. After that, let's meet on the fourth floor" They nod, and then I bring myself up two levels.

I frantically search the doors, trying to open them. I then hear two girls screaming, then a gun shooting and killing them. I could've saved them, I need to search harder. nobody else needs to die.

"EVERYONE! THE TAGGER IS ON THE SECOND FLOOR! HE HAS LIMITED VISION DUE TO THE MASK! IF WE SHOUT OUT THE LOCATIONS OF THE TAGGER, WE CAN FIND THE SAFE ZONE AS A TEAM!" I hear Arisu shout.

I go down a level and hear another girl yell, "THE TAGGER IS ON THE FOURTH FLOOR. ANYONE NEARBY RUN!"

Crap, I'm on the fourth level. I see a lady who looks extremely confused from all the gunshots and screaming, I try to get her to leave, and so does the other girl, but she doesn't. So I go up a level and begin to run.

I bump into Hiroshi, and we agree to find Arisu and Kurube. I hop down two levels and see the buff guy and the skinny guy. I wave at them and hop onto the ground.

"Are you guys going to take out the tagger?" I ask the group as Hiroshi walks over too.
"Yes, we are, but you and Arisu should look for the safe room." Says Kurube.
"Yea, little lady you should go search instead of fighting with us."
"You realize I could help you guys? I was in the army, and before this, I was in the FBI tactical force." I scoff while walking over to them, "But I'll help find the safe room, I guess." I slip Hiroshi my pocket knife but keep my gun. Then the climbing girl jumps to this level. "I've checked the fifth floor on the south block and the sixth floor on the east and south blocks. We can split up and look for the safe room."

I nod, then pull myself up to the fourth floor. I see Arisu and hear him say, "Why would he shoot from such a long distance..?" I realize that the tagger was trying to protect that room so that nobody would go in. I jump down and walk over to room 406.
