You are a normal highschool girl who is a bookworm. You love to read books of all genres. Whether it would be fiction, nonfiction, historical, or cultural, you were excited to learn new stuff.
In the library, you were searching for books to read. "Maybe something new today ..." you whispered to yourself after a hum.
After a while of searching, you saw a particular book that caught your eyes. You wanted to read it but, it was too high to reach.
As you were trying your best to reach for that specific book, you felt someone's presence behind you.
You looked behind you to see who is it and there you saw Jinyoung, one of the so-called "cutie-hot guys" in your school and he is your boy best friend.
You and Jinyoung have been friends for a while because of your guys' similarities and just by how you guys just clicked as best friends when you've met and got to know each other.
"Oh hi, Nyoungie-ah-" you were supposedly going to greet him upon facing him but was startled by how close the distance was.
Both stared at each other for a while, feeling your face heat up the more it lasted longer.
"Hey! You're too close!" you exclaimed as you pushed him away from you.
"So what?" Jinyoung said then push you gently to his right.
"I was supposed to get you this book for you since you're too short" Jinyoung teased with a scoff and went ahead to get the book you were trying to get.
"Here," he stated and handed you the book. As he faced you, Jinyoung saw your face all red which made him laugh.
"Pfft, what's this? Are you blushing?" he teased you as he looked at your face closely.
"Shut up, am not" you replied and rolled your eyes.
"Yeah, right. Why were you blushing?" he continued to tease.
You kept quiet for a while, avoiding eye contact.
"Ayee ~ Why you blushin'" Jinyoung teased, leaning closer.
"It's nothing!" you exclaimed and hit Jinyoung's arm which made him wince playfully.
"Ouch!" he exclaimed and continued to tease you, laughing at your tomato looking face.
"You look adorable when you're blushing" he suddenly stated with a smile that made your heart skip a beat.
This statement is made you unconsciously gulp. Feeling butterflies in your tummy, you tried to calm down.
"You look like a cute little tomato" he continued and squished your cheeks together, his face a few centimeters away from yours.
You weren't able to do anything but stare at him, taken aback by his actions.
After a few seconds, you finally got back to your senses.
You smirked which made Jinyoung wonder. "You have feelings for me, don't you?" you teased, raising an eyebrow.
"Pfft, you do know that if I do like you, I wouldn't ask you to be my best friend in the first place," Jinyoung said with a wink and went ahead to search for a book.
"Well, yeah... you have a point," you agreed and secretly sighed, disappointed.

After the conversation, both of you headed outside of the library.
While walking, Jinyoung saw Mark and called him.
"Sup!" Mark greeted his approaches to his friend.
"Yo, what's up?" Jinyoung greeted as they did their handshake. "Same old, how about you guys? You told her yet?" Mark whispered the last question to Jinyoung but, you heard it.
You looked at the two guys who were communicating with their eyes.
"Is there something that you were supposed to tell me??" you asked Jinyoung.
You felt nervous and confused. You suddenly felt scared.
"Maybe later. Now's not the right time" Jinyoung stated as he nudges Mark's shoulder.
This made you even more nervous than you already were.
The day continued as if nothing happened but, it kept bothering you.
<Time Skip>
"I'll get going now," Mark said as the three of you were about to part ways. Before leaving, Mark whispered something to Jinyoung. "You better tell her earlier than never" and left.
"I'll take you home" Jinyoung stated as soon as Mark left. "Yeah, sure" you replied quietly.
As both of you were walking silently, you were still bothered by what the two guys were talking about earlier.
"Hey" he nudged your shoulder softly making you look at him. "Anything bothering you?" he asked. "It's nothing" you replied shortly. "C'mon, you know you can tell me, right?" he continued.
You ignored him and just kept walking.
"Hey, c'mon tell me~~" he continued, acting like a little kid asking for candy.
He carried on acting like a kid, pushing you to your limits.
You sighed and decided to tell him.
"I was just slightly bothered and curious about what Mark was talking about earlier" you muttered.
Jinyoung's smile dropped but, he smiled immediately again before you would notice.
There were a few minutes of silence.
By the time Jinyoung was ready to tell you, you guys were near the park where both of you met for the second time by coincidence which was near your house.
"So, uhm... about what's bothering you," he started, making you stop from walking.
You faced him and waited patiently.
You were feeling nervous and you felt your heart was about to burst out of your chest.
"So, I have something to confess to you .." he paused.
"I was about to tell you sooner but, I was kind of nervous about how you'd react to it" he continued and scratched his nape, smiling sheepishly.
You kept quiet, feeling so nervous that you were overthinking.
'Is he going to confess ...?What is he going to confess...?' you asked yourself and thought about the possible things he could confess about.
You've liked Jinyoung for a while now which is probably the reason why your heart is beating so fast. You wanted to confess your feelings first though but, you had no idea about neither Jinyoung's feelings nor what he's about to confess.
"So, uhm... I .." he slowly said. You both unconsciously took deep breaths.
'I ain't letting him confess first' you thought.
"I-"
Before Jinyoung could even speak, you cut him off.
"Ilikeyoutoo!" you exclaimed as fast as you could as you shut your eyes tightly, waiting for his reaction.
There were a few seconds of silence when you decided to open one eye slowly, taking a peek.
As you opened one eye, you saw his dumbfounded, surprised, and confused reaction.
"I...have a girlfriend" he slowly confessed, making your heart shatter into pieces.
