"Please Father!" Adrien begged.

"I don't understand why you'd need a second cell phone, Adrien." Gabriel replied, annoyed at being disturbed but also confused.

"I could... I could use it as an emergency phone, so when it rings I know to leave immediately, instead of ignoring it? It could be useful during photo shoots or fencing lessons... And - and it would have your contact and Nathalie's contact in it, so you both can reach me quicker."

Gabriel brought his hand to his chin, thinking deeply.

Adrien clapped his hands together and bowed. "Please, Father!"

"... Alright. This better make you try harder in fencing and Chinese classes."

"Ah!" Adrien gasped in surprise and happiness, straightening up and returning his hands to his sides. "I will! Thanks Father!"

"I'll have Nathalie order you one - it should arrive in a couple days." Gabriel added, turning to head back to his office. Adrien nodded, his smile spreading across his face, and headed into his room.

"So, how did it go?" Plagg asked, flying in circles around the main area of his room.

"It worked!" Adrien replied, buzzing with excitement. "I'll be able to get a second phone! Oh!" Remembering something, he quickly brought out his usual phone, and sent a text to Nathalie. "I need to make sure the phone is black."

"Why does the colour matter?" Plagg asked, peering over his shoulder.

"Because this phone is white, so it'll be easier to differentiate them."

"Differentiate?" Plagg echoed, confused.

"Yes - because I'll be using this phone as Chat Noir! Don't you remember the discussion Ladybug and I had a few days ago?"

"The what now?"

Adrien sighed. "We talked about giving each other our numbers!"

Plagg's confused expression didn't change, so Adrien went into detail to explain...

~ Flashback ~

"Chat... you know we can't exchange personal information about ourselves. What if we end up finding out each other's identities from this?!"

"But Milady... we could have separate phones for each other! Then, it won't have any links to ourselves. In addition, we can use it to get a hold of one another when we're in civilian form if there's an akuma. For example, if I was... in an after school tutoring session-"

"With your antics, I'd expect you to be in detention instead."

"-Very funny Milady. Anyway, say I'm in a tutoring session and there's an akuma at the other side of town. I'm not going to hear about it for a while. But if you texted me, then I'd know an akuma had happened, and I could get there faster."

Ladybug paused, realising his idea has more merit than just him being able to text her whenever he wanted.

"Well, I did have that spare..." She muttered, before glancing up. "Alright. Next time, on patrol, we'll exchange phone numbers."

"Thank you Milady!" Chat Noir shouted, embracing her in a warm hug.

"C - Chat!" Ladybug squeaked, jumping out of the hug.

"Ah, sorry Milady." Chat Noir muttered awkwardly, scratching the back of his head, a small smile on his face. All of a sudden, his ring began to flash, and he sighed.

"Well I have to go now. See you soon, Milady! I would say 'stay in touch', but we can't just yet. So, I'll see you on our next joint patrol."

"Bye, kitty."

And with a wave and a smile, Chat Noir headed back to his house to detransform.

~ Flashback ~

"Oh, riiiiight." Plagg replied, "I remember now."

Adrien lied down on his bed and lifted his phone so it's above his face and sighed.

"Soon - in just a few more days - I can contact Ladybug whenever I'd like..." He sighed again, and the phone almost slipped from his grasp. Thankfully it didn't.

"Have you not heard of 'The Boy who Called Wolf'? It's such a classic old timey gross tale that even us Kwamis know it!" Plagg interrupted Adrien's thoughts.

"The one where the boy lied so often, he wasn't believed when he was telling the truth? But I won't be lying to Ladybug...?"

"No! I meant be careful how often you contact her. If you contact Ladybug too often about too many trivial things, she won't be as quick to respond when you seriously need her."

"Oh, I hadn't thought of that..." Adrien trailed off, glancing at the night sky from his bed. He rolled to the edge of his bed and clicked a button that automatically pulled the blinders for the window, so Adrien could go to sleep.

"I'm sure it'll all work out." He muttered, as he fell asleep.

Hi everyone! I'm starting a new fanfiction, yay!

Okay I'm being honest here: this fanfiction will not be updated as much as the other ones I'm currently working on (my Danganronpa one - New Hope - and my My Hero Academia one - Glass Heart). This fanfiction will probably be updated once a week, or maybe even once every two weeks? Either way I'll do my best to update it as much as I can, and I promise to do my best to make sure it's updated at the very least once every two weeks, but until the other stories are done, they'll be taking priority.

Now that that's out of the way, I hope you enjoyed the very first chapter! I've already written a Miraculous Ladybug story, so it's going to be interesting to see how everything changes now I've seen season 3 haha. See you guys again soon!

But for now...

Peachy out! 😊
