You woke up extra early this morning to run to the nearest hardware store to buy paint rollers and trays. You had no experience in these type of things and now wasn't the time to start having an interest.
You were now back home, driving up your driveway. Getting the 4 bags out of your trunk, you clumsily made it to your front door, insisting on making only one trip, and it was successful. Leaving the bags and your keys on the island, you grasped a coffee from your fridge. It was your second coffee of the day and the clock still hasn't hit 11.
Your outfit of the day was a black Gym Shark legging paired with an olive colored crop top. For the shoes, you had an old pair of trainers that you didn't care about, since you knew you were going to get them dirty. The nest on top of your head hasn't been washed for the last 3 days, so it was in a messy high bun. Your closet was filled with only workout clothes and professional things you had to wear to work. You despised putting on denim and a regular shirt, you always felt confident in your workout attire.
You had given your security guard a list of the guests you're expecting prior to you leaving the house this morning. You were excited, but a bit nervous. You had gotten closer to the team during the case and felt comfortable around them, yet you still didn't know anything about them.
The doorbell rang at the right moment before you started overthinking everything. You hoped it was Spencer or Rossi because those were the two closest people to you on the team. And thankfully you were right; the man you wanted to see the most came right in.
You stared at him for quite a long time, he was wearing a white tight crewneck and gray sweatpants, with a cap on his head. It was weird to see him in normal clothes, since his wardrobe was basically only sweater vests, ties, and cardigans.
"Take a picture, it will last longer." Spencer snarked, waving his hand in front of your face.
"C-come right in." you stumbled over your words, a crimson blush forming on your cheeks.
"Do you need any help preparing the place?" he asked.
"Um, yea. You could tape the baseboards and put those sheets in the places we will start painting first." you responded, pointing at the materials you just bought.
Spencer went quickly went to work as you arranged the mixed the paint and poured on the tray. Your walls were a disgusting light yellow color, not your kind of style, hence the amount of paint you bought. The color you wanted your walls to be was a light gray, you thought it would match the aesthetic of your house better, especially compliment the dark black cabinets you had in your kitchen.
To say you like the color black is an understatement. The majority of the things you owned were black: your car, your kitchen, the light fixtures around the house, and etc. The list goes on and on. What can you say, black matched with everything?
