The Fayre

A girl taller than her clothes.

Passing people, who froze.

A dewdrop lidened primrose.

With a look that knows.

A wise gaze.

Put all who saw in a haze.

Walking gives sparks in delays

Hair of fire, a blaze.

Her dress flowed free.

Her skin, the color of a tree.

Her name, nothing but 'she'

Beauty that leaves nothing but debris.

A small movement, mild as they come.

Put everyone watching in a state of numb.

Her calm, the townsfolk shrink from.

The silent hit like a snare drum.

A hand raised up, fixing her hair.

Caused everyone that saw to stare.

Fayres in towns, that was rare.

Sharp ears sent whispers through the air.
