Depressing Poems

Carefree

Everything always tries to be sunshine and rainbows

Thinking that if they try hard enough it will change

The real thoughts and actions, the real feeling

Idiotically thinking that it might exchange

Faking it until you make it

But at what cost?

Never knowing your own feelings?

Persona and Person, reality lost

Having lost what makes you humane

What becomes of you now

Do you continue to fake?

Or stop and find yourself, but how

Wishing to change,

But unable to budge

The struggle isn't worth it

But still faking through the sludge

Reason unknown on both sides

Confusion all around

But choices make you anxious

So you crack without a sound

Overfilled with emotion sand numbness

Trying to be strong when you think yourself weak

When you are the one cracking like an antique

Emotions are hard to read

But harder when reality can't agree

Anxiety, choices. Depression, Numb and crying

Yet the facade is still up, you're looking carefree.
