Few weeks passed and Isabelle was finally getting used to the 2x more studies and her schedule.
Even though she tried to keep up her facade she could feel herself being more and more kinder and talkative to James.
And it was starting to get obvious.
"Wow Belle you got it bad." Lily laughed.
"I know I just can't help it, its something about him." She said.
Both girls making there way to the courtyard still laughing.
The both red heads made a sudden stop when they noticed a crowd of people laughing and shouting.
They both looked at each other before marching their way to the scene.
And when they got there and saw the scene displayed in front of them they couldn't help but gasp at the sight of James Potter and the rest of the marauders tauting there friend Severus Snape.
Severus was on the ground and his wand was a few inches away.
"Leave him alone, Potter!" Yelled Lily who was shaking with rage.
And as James and his friends looked at the two red head girls who where glaring at them with intensity.
If looks could kill they would all be six feet under the ground.
"Why?" Asked James innocently.
"What has he ever done to you?!" Shouted Isabelle who was ready to lunge at the boy.
"Just that, he exists..." He said trailing off.
And at the distraction Severus was quick to grab his wand that was inches away.
"Sec-" but before he could mutter anything else James was quicker.
"Levicorpus."
And Severus flew in the air by his ankles.
"Please stop it," Begged Isabelle watching her friend that was in the air being made fun of by the other students around them.
"Only if you go on a date with me." James said.
"I wouldn't even if I had to chose between you and the giant squid in the Black lake." She said getting frustrated.
"Now put him back down." Said Lily.
And with a shrug James lifted the charm off of Severus making him fall to the ground with a thud.
As he was going to grab his wand Sirius blocked his path and pushed him back on the ground.
"What part of leave him alone don't you idiots don't get." Lily sternly said with a shriek.
And as Sirius threw Severus another hex, legs stuck together now.
Lily and Isabelle pointed their wands at the boys, they wouldn't hesitate to hex.
"Stop it now." They both spoke in union.
"Don't make me hex you Isabelle." James said with a tint of playfulness of in his voice.
It was making her mad.
She just glared back making his face fall.
"It's just a joke." Said Sirius
"It wont be a joke when you'll be sent to St. Mungos." Lily spat.
And with that his smirk fell also as James sighed and did the counter curse making Severus scramble up and grab his wand.
"You're lucky Lily and Isabelle were here," Said James.
"I don't need help from mudbloods like them." He spoke with venom that Lily stumbled back a little as Isabelle felt the wind knock out of her, breathing heavily.
And the hurt looks on the girls face were enough for all the marauders to yell and threatened him.
But Severus just stalked away, As James turned to them.
"Don't," Lily said holding up a shakey hand and a trembling voice.
"You're just as bad as he is." And with that she walked away.
James turned to the other red head that was staring right at him with tears in her eyes and pure hatred.
"Don't you ever get when's enough." She said finally letting tears to stream down.
"I really hope it fed your ego, Potter." She said saying his last name as if it was a curse of some sort.
Before turning to Remus.
"I really thought better of you Remus,"
And she walked away, leaving all the Marauder's in utter defeat.
When she arrived at her dorm she saw Marlene comforting Lily.
And as the Attention went to Isabelle, Lily saw Isabelle tears making her to break down more, making Isabelle also break down even more making Marlene shed a few tears.
And as they embraced each other in a group hug.
Isabelle couldn't help but to think how stupid she had to be to ever think James Potter changed.
