The final day of the Training camp have finally come, everyone was having fun while eating barbecue except for one team who's preparing to leave already

“Oi, leaving so soon?” Bokuto said swinging his arm on top of Y/M's shoulder as if they're best friends already

“We don't have much time to have fun knowing that the prelims are coming and we need to practice more.” Y/n said slowly removing bokuto's arm on top of his shoulder

“Man, that's suck." Bokuto said, Y/n just nodded and swung his bag on his shoulder

“Well bokuto-san, We're leaving now it was nice playing with you” Y/n said bowing before turning and walking away

Y/n hops inside the bus and sits beside the window, he felt someone sat beside him and he turned and saw Tendō

“Yo, Y/n-kun!” He greeted

“Hello, tendō-san” Y/n Greeted back and then went back looking outside the window

The ride back to miyagi was quiet, everyone was either sleeping or playing games on their phones. Y/n had his earphones on and was listening to his favorite song with full volume, he slowly closed his eyes and went to sleep

“Nice kill!” Y/n yelled from the bench as he witnesses ushiwaka's spike

They were having a practice match against the colleges who they had a match before

“Is it just me? Or ever we came back from the training camp Ushijima-san's been quite competitive lately..” goshiki said handing Y/n his water bottle

“Same here...and also Y/n changed drastically.. Like look at him! He's like a different person, so..jolly” Shirabu said pointing an accusing finger towardsY/n who's drinking his water with sparkles around him

“Well at least he's not like before..” Semi said

Everyone became silent.

“I-eh.. Back to practice!” Semi said breaking the awkward atmosphere that he created

“If we win twice in tomorrow's preliminaries we can advance to the preliminative playoffs in October ” Takeda-sensei said explained while holding the paper that shows the matches for the upcoming prelims

“Along with an additional 8 veterans will compete in the representative playoffs in October, The 8 schools that make is through the first preliminaries.” Takeda said

“We're only having two matches? ” Hinata asked

“We made it into the best 16 during the inter thigh prelims so we're exempt from the first game this time around.” Suga explained

“THE WAY YOU GUYS ARE NOW, YOU CAN DEFINITELY MAKE IT THROUGH! LETS DO WHAT WE ALWAYS DO!” Takeda yelled and then was answered with a loud 'Hell yeah' from everyone

The day has finally come and everyone was now getting ready for the spring high preliminaries

Shiratorizawa just arrived early as usual, and was now stretching, Y/n couldn't help but to feel nervous since its been so long since he had a real match and bit to mention the pressure he have because of his team being known as one of the best players and the fact the ushijima is one of the best three aces in volleyball

Upon entering the court, loud yells erupted from the bleachers. Y/n had to cover his poor sensitive ears from the loud noises.

“So who are we up against? ” Y/n asked

“We're not here to have a match.” Shurabi said

"Eh..? What do you mean??” Y/n completely confused

“Because of the inter high were exempt for the first preliminary for placing top four..we'll be playing on the qualifiers.” Semi explained

Y/n sighed and slumped on the railings as he could only watch from below what's happening

“I was so hyped up..” Y/n whined earning a smack on the head from Shirabu

“I will smack you to smithereens you bowl cut son of a bi-” Y/n was cut off when Semi covered his mouth and dragged him away from shirabu

“Alright that's enough, we don't want to cause ruckus here.” Semi said letting Y/n sit down beside a random student who blushed at their closeness

Being a stubborn male he is, he stood up and went to sit beside Ushijima who just ignored his presence and continued to watch the game that was happening down them

“Who's playing?” Y/n asked squinting his eyes as he try to recognize the players until he spotted a very familiar jersey

Black and orange....and a human tangerine.

“No way..” Y/n said standing up and leaning on the railings smiling like a toddler who just found his favorite toy

“Who are they up against? ” Semi asked standing beside him while crossing Hus arms

“I don't know...” Y/n said leaning a bit farther as he tried to recognize on who's karasuno's opponent but failed since it was quite far

He slumped back go his chair and crossed his arms

“Ushi-san..did you perhaps met him before?” Y/n asked

Ushijima stopped from observing and went to face the second year beside him who's eyes were fixated towards the Court, his sudden change of tone and behavior caught ushijima's attention

“Ive met him on the streets while I was jogging.” He said looking back to the court where the match has started

“Just to let you know....” Y/n said turning his head towards ushijima who's was now looking at him with a furrowed eyebrows

“Hinata never backs down..”
